Felt like home

I used to go to this school and I must admit, I made a lot of great memories at this place and really missed it when I left, of course it had a few flaws including the school food (at least during my time at the school) and mild problems with office staff when it came to things with attendance but in general it had some great opportunities, half decent support from teachers who usually take action on any bullying, the only thing I would say is that the school could provide a bit more freedom during English writing so the students could expand their vocabulary and knowledge a bit more because my class would usually be copying off of the board (what the teacher was writing) and we only got to writing our own things from time to time. Either way I’m in the very top set for all English subjects in my secondary school and get very good grades, incidentally I only think that st Dunstan’s very partially contributed to my successes now but it has decent values and strives to make students good kids, the year 6 residential was very good and one of the best away from home experiences I’ve ever had and I would really recommend sending your kids on it. It’s very homey and has a small town feel due to it being such a small school but it’s very charming and felt like home. I don’t know what the students are like now but when I was there it was decent-ish, a very small amount of bullying and some drama in the later years but that was just childish rudeness that blew out of proportion. When I think back on my time at the school I view it through a positive lens and i remember all the great times I had at st Dunstan’s, I like secondary school a lot more, due to the increasing amount of freedom as im getting older moving along in my teen years but that’s only natural as I’ve been attending it for a few years now but sometimes I wish I could go back to st Dunstan’s, to that simpler time and going to this school made me feel comfortable, safe and at home. In conclusion I really recommend sending your child to this school if you want them to have a warm, comforted feeling when they think back on their time there in many many years to come.

P.S the cart barn is one of the best places ever and I really really really wish I could go back to it and hang out with my friends there, one of the most iconic places in the school

P.S.S if the massive hole behind the big tree in the corner of football field is still there, that was dug by my class in 2021, one of our most prized possessions at the time and it became a society at some point, had a lot of fun there, this school will definitely make you belong in some way shape or form
