If ofsted suppose to come students are forced to smile, and do something they been told otherwise they will have afterschool detention .

do not care about students and I know someone who got in trouble for asking more then once to go to the toliet when she was a young girl who leaked on her period.
Amazing School
Amazing school, students are well mannered as Teachers yet some can be a bit scary and strict but that’s life!! They care about your mental health and your grades as much as they care about your free time.

this is coming from a current student at the school St Damian’s.
Most students I know would say it’s a bad school,no not because it’s boring,it’s because the children are always misbehaving,the teachers don’t know how to deal with it and they have a bad way of discipline,trying to learn in the class i am in is awful and the teachers let power get to their head.They don’t deal with mental health well and are fully focused on academics.although they teach you the right things,if the lesson even gets completed.

st damian's - not all it's made out to be
#1 counsellers do nothing, one time my counseller told me to brush my teeth because i dont want smelly breath and ugly teeth on stage(i want to be an actress)
#2 teachers have told a yr11 muslim student to take off her hijab, although they took the pillars of islam and changed it to "the 8 pillars of st damians" and one of the rules is to respect all religions
#3 top set students in yr9 get barely any creative subjects and instead it's replaced with extra science maths etc.
#4 many teachers are extremely strict, rather than being disciplinary, they are just horrible
#5 girls/people assigned female at birth are only allowed to wear skirts and vice versa
#6 the brownies and chips are nice

The best part of the school is the support team. They are really supportive and ensure you are feeling fully confident in class. Despite all this the current*********** is an absolute bully. He does not deal with racism thoroughly and targets set students. Also there is no set behaviour policy and it varies with each******* which causes a lot of confusion and the*******s can pick and choose when they want to give a detention.
Not satisfied
Teachers are very nice and great Teachers however some should not be qualified as they are rude, unhelpful and unable to be flexible in teaching methods. Pastoral support is average. Bullying is not dealt with well and is continuous even after being dealt with. Students overall are well mannered however don’t enjoy coming to school due to the lack of support and understanding of teachers. Admin staff are rude and very unhelpful.

It is not that great as I thought . They care only about school reputation and that's all.
They just showing off how great they are front of other schools or at admissions , but reality is very far from this.
Do not look for support or understanding in this school. Whatever they offer is useless and never helped.
My kid developed and anxiety just because of school environment and how rude teachers and staff are. All they told me that our anxiety ( diagnosed by dr.) is just an excuse , and that they will not change anything about their ways...so make your own opinion .
Absolute shame .
Thinking to change school for my kid .
I will explain my experience :
1.Education& learning - Learns but not great , teachers changing so often and subtitutes are very often strict and bad and rude, send you off lesson for coughing so you get to learn nothing .
2.Safety&security - Well known that students from years 10 or 11 dealing drugs but noone cares, sometimes people running with knife inside the school and noone cares- they will tell that nothing happened and students have to be quite . Ofted fights between students .
3.Outdoor envirnoment - I would say its quite good , lot of space , well done here.
4.School informations - not great as there are 2 parents meetings only
5.Staff&teachers - rude, playing strict for no reason , and by this achieving nothing more than hate from students
6.Indoor envirnoment - not bad , actually quite good
7.Food and Meals - nice meals all right choice , but if you are in isol you will feel like you are in some camp
8.Activities - School favorite activities are useless After school detentions for anything , absolutely for any little things. You will get detention even if you will not smile when head teacher ask you to smile.... ( thats real story from students) . but you will understand once you join this ,,great,, school .
