This school is a horrible place and the teachers are practically bullies for the students. Teachers don't even listen to the student when something very important and unsafe has occurred. If you're a parent reading this, please, do Not send your child to this school.
It deserves less than one star. This is an horrendous school with even worse teachers. You get glared at, looked up and down if there’s even something slightly ‘wrong’ with your uniform or hair, i find this quite sexist as boys seem to get away with a lot more than the girls. The female teachers stand in the toilets at break which made everyone slightly uncomfortable and i don’t think this should be allowed, to be shouted at to hurry up and have somebody waiting for you to leave the toilet. Some days i didn’t even go to the toilet because i was afraid that a teacher would ‘have a go’ at me for anything they could find to shout at, i think they’re all power hungry at this school and they make school an even harder place to be than it already is. One day i was in the toilet with one other girl, as you would outside of school when you’re out with your friends, but one teacher saw this as a “safeguarding issue” and called it “sinister”please, someone explain to me how that would be a safety issue and how it’s sinister when nobody was messing around or doing absolutely anything wrong. I have been made to cry in front of my whole year group by 2 teachers who then both let me cry and walked away without offering any help and when 2 of my friends came towards me and tried to offer support, they got shouted at and told to “go away” and leave me alone. There’s so much more disturbingly wrong with this school and hopefully soon it'll start to show to parents and students. I wouldn’t wish this experience i’ve had at this school on anybody ever. I would warn everyone to choose another school if they wish to avoid extreme mental health issues (which it gave me), and severe distress everyday on-top of how stressful school already is.
To start, i had a slight remainder of very light, washed out pink in my hair after summer that was pretty much out, and within my first 10 minutes of being there i had one of the harshest teachers drag me out of my form, just to look me up and down and tell me “you have pink hair get it out” and it was even suggested to me to tie my hair up which i think isn’t really suitable. There’s so much more to complain about, there’s some horrendous teachers who cannot teach a lesson or handle a class, some teachers bullied me to the point of crying then left me there in front of everyone without any help being provided and when friends asked me student if i was okay they got shouted at to leave me alone. This school is shocking and i don’t know how it’s still open at this point, I would warn everyone to choose another school if they want to avoid being given extreme mental health issues and being in distress daily.
School is very sexist and just generally bad…
School is sexist in many ways from how each gender are treated and how each gender can dress… for example I know of a few girls who wore trousers and had teachers harass them to change and buy new pants or wear skirts cause it showed the ankle shape what is absolutely ridiculous as it distracts teachers and students in my opinion if it distracts teachers they shouldn’t be allowed near the school . Furthermore females are harassed over every thing they wear also no one can dye there hair unnatural colour as it’s a distraction but no one how it could be. So overall the school is pretty bad and they are really strict to the point it stresses the students
I hate school, it’s really strict however the education is really good and through lockdown the home learning was really good but the school does not allow girls to wear socks and the the girls in sixth form are allowed to wear skirts but the boys aren’t allowed to wear shorts. Doesn’t really make sense!
I would say that I love the school as the staff is amazing but unfortunately the school is awful with dealing with bullies. They get away with so much with what you could call a slap on the wrist. A after school detention in most cases won’t do well.
It took one of my parents threatening the school for them to actually react to what happened to me.
I generally hate school, but over lockdown, the school has handled the virus very well; providing mentor calls, work, internet support video call lessons and full access to the school system. I've noticed the increased support of all staff members and the team. Coming from a student, I do think the chook has done everything it can in the ituation and I enforcing rules very well. The emotional support given free this time has been very good also. At times the work has been a bit overwhelming, but support has been given to everyone.
