This school is full of nerds and rich kids this school is full of Men showing its gae and none of the students here have female contact in wich all the students here will probably start kissing Men in the school
Bullying is problem that is not addressed at this school.
My son attended this school and had the most horrendous time. He and his friends were very badly bullied - spat at, name calling, physical abuse etc etc. The school refused to acknowledge this was happening and denied any of the incidents that were reported were bullying. Even when he was physically assaulted it was denied until some younger students who witnessed what happened came forward. My son was then told the boy who assaulted him was sorry even though he'd initially lied and showed no remorse at all. I was told by the headteacher that despite all of this my son was safe at this school. They ignored there own policies. I contacted the bullying advice line listed in the school bullying policy and the Headteacher criticised the tone of my letter in his reply to the letter the advisors had provided me with. My son said the blatant homophobia was ignored by many of the staff and nothing was ever done about it. My son left this school at 16 to continue his education elsewhere. He has succeeded despite all of this but it has left him with terrible memories of school and will be something he can never forget.
Actually, we don't have to spend a fortune for our children education!
My boys now who have been studying in a great local state school, like the Spalding Grammar School, are 1000 times better than my other children from the previous married who have studied in a private school at Peterborough; in which I have spent a fortune for them!!
My eldest son is shy and quiet but very academic, despite the slow early year adaptation, he’s overall happy in this school; and after all, realized that the Spalding Grammar School was still the best option for him in the area. He has grown sensibly mature and had high achievements in all subjects he’s chosen at the end of his secondary school year. Without a doubt, he’s decided to continue his sixth form here. It’s true that Grammar Schools are not for everybody. Many pros and cons. The schools are surely not fun and very academic. They will expect all students to learn at the same pace as it’s what the 11+ test is for, I suppose. Therefore, to naturally pass the test perhaps is better. Also, I believe that boys and girls someway learn differently. As a parent, I did not force my sons to choose this school and I certainly do not regret my decision to send them to this school as it suits them better than the other local schools.
Good teachers for my subjects at sixth form. Bad handing of LGBTQ students, and high amounts of bullying for some. You have to know how to work the system really well to get on here, else you’ll be failed. So much stress.
Went for 5 years, they don’t care about the students, only what the students can do for them, they love to “lose” your deposit and do nothing about bullying, as well as doing nothing about homophobia and transphobia (and even forcing a trans man to get dressed in the girls dressing room)
We just need more funding, and to be allowed to use our phones outside of the classroom in my opinion. Overall pretty good experience and handled the coronavirus well.
