If you care about your child don’t send them here. My child was bullied and I know many other parents who went through the same exact thing from year 7-11 my child was racially picked on and saw it happen with other students of differnt races. The school isn’t supportive at all in any sort of way . The teachers are ignorant and horrible my daughters mental well-being and health was not taken seriously at all and they belittled her. Also let’s not forget that They ran out of food for students because your staff got too lazy on strike day and didn’t decide to make enough food for the gcse students… and how they have about 3 halal food options. Oh also how the dinner ladies save food for their certain favourite students. And students and favouritised a lot.

They don't care about mental health. They only put on an act when parents/ofsted are there. I was a having a huge panic attack and my head of year said "you'll be fine, go back to your lesson and push through" I feel scared walking through corridors because they don't have proper safeguard on them. Year 7s get barged and some have PTSD and it triggers that.

honestly an awful school staff don’t care about your mental health they but far more about how a skirt is worn? When teenage girls are in there prime for being insecure and feeling bad about themselves your forced to wipe your face to take any makeup off which would be understandable if it was a FULL face but its not its just concealer and maybe a bit of mascara to make girls feel somewhat okay? Back to mental health when you have a problem your told you’ll get a referral to somewhere but never get heard back from and then that just repeats and repeats every time u feel upset or have a full on breakdown in school. The teachers are rude especially the men tbh the headteacher just laughs at u when ur upset and gets unnecessarily angry and shouty when telling CHILDREN off same with the head of lower school when these are kids potentially dealing with stuff at home like mental and verbal abuse thats going to make them feel so much worse. Alsooo back to the skirts grown men putting girls in isolation for the skirts of 11-16 year olds is absolutely rank its so disgusting i don’t know how they can even live with themselves doing that to children cause being brutally honest its really perverted. The education is awful there is absolutely no possible way of learning in an environment where kids are throwing pens and other supplies around the rooms, fighting, bullying each other, shouting out and overall just being disruptive with no consequence is distracting and i don’t know how most of the teachers are even qualified to teach cause they do not know how to handle a class never mind a class full of disruptive kids. The way things are taught are atrocious there so confusing and even when there explaining there just repeating the same confusing things without breaking it down into words children will understand. This school and schools in general really need to sort out how there ‘looking out for’ there students cause these people are not happy i could bet anything in the world if u asked anyone in the school they would most likely say they only come into school to see there friends and be around people they like and some people dont even have that since there being bullied and the school is doing absolutely NOTHING about it’s. These children are not happy and that is why there acting up in lessons and being naughty and having full on mental breakdown’s everyday cause this school ruins peoples self image and mental health in general.

I'm a student at South Craven, and I can tell you that it is not in fact a great school. If you've ever been there, you'll know at the start of the year they do an assembly for parents and children who are going in - and will talk about things such as bullying, saying it will be dealt with quickly, and that it happens rarely. This is utter garbage, I have been bullied since day one, severely. And it has always been brushed under the carpet, the teachers love to ''investigate'' bullying, and other problems that a student might bring to them but it's always met with a roll of their eyes or a passing glance.
Even more so, they are aware of this. They take too many students that they can't handle and employ little to no teachers, as well as teachers who don't even enjoy teaching which is a joke. (If you don't want to teach kids, don't become a teacher, simple logic.) This is more obvious when Ofsted came for their first evaluation of the school in years, and the teachers were as sweet as anything because of the fact that an Invigilator could walk in any minute, if that isn't obvious enough then maybe being asked ''Have you seen Ofsted go by?'' each time you're in class trying to do your work then that should settle it for you. Fix your school.
