awful school, my name got written on somthing saying i was gay and should go kill myself and they didnt do nothing about it.
they dont care about us

Amazing school,lovely staff and it is run perfectly.

I spent three years at this school do my gcse's. There are some areas that the school excelled in but other areas were awful. For example the maths English and science were almost faultless the teaching was good and the learning environment was great. But in other areas like languages or the disciplinary structure it was outrageous. I think I had around five German teaches the time I was there because the teachers were either being forced out by students or sacked. The bullying was almost constant, everyday there would be racist homophobic or sexist comments made and multiple people in my year group were suspended for sexual harrasment issues, the school cared completely about imagine if you weren't good at sports then you weren't good enough they cared only about results and grades it didn't matter if you were being bullied as long as you got good grades. This was the same for the bullies it didn't matter if you were a tyrant to other kids as long as you gave good results then nothing was done. The quality of the school has severally declined over the years and with constant changes to teachers and leadership as a student you felt left behind or discarded. If you have an health issues I also highly recommend going elsewhere in some aspect they could deal disabilities but if you had an metal health problems or had any ongoing undiagnosed physical health problems you were neglected. If you don't represent their ideal pupil then the system works against you. If you arent a straight white able-bodied person then run the other way. And the the current deputy head boy, was suspended for a week for homophobic and sexist behaviour and despite that was still going to become head boy until people complained. The teachers also constantly pressure the students to be successfully, if you didn't get an A you would fail, if you weren't the best then you would have no chance. Now that I've left and am older I understand it doesn't matter but at that time, because of the pressure I felt from the school, if I didn't do well then I would be worthless that stress could be crippling at time for many people.
