I am currently in year 11 and the way the school has delt with the pandemic is completely amazing. The teachers genuinely want to help you and see you succeed. The student body is so diverse and facilities, although not amazing are very good considering and it is not the schools fault. I would really recommend going here I think I have learned much more here then I would have done at a grammar school because of how different everything is and because of the relatively small population it means teachers can really give you feedback personal to you.
As a student of 4 and a half years here, I have no doubt in my mind that they've provided me with an excellent education and set me up for my future studies in college.
As the school has around 500 students give or take, it's incredibly inclusive and the staff build a relationship with every student over their time in SWR.
I would highly recommend for anyone who has children that may suffer from any mental disabilities as there is far more support for it here than in larger secondary schools.
It’s a very mixed and diverse school, you get all sorts of people coming here a great community for such a small school (300) and they cater for all learning abilities.
The learning techniques used are better then most schools in the area. And the food is cheap and delicious!
Drugs are a small problem but is handled well by staff. (Bag searches etc)
