The school is so bad, i hate it. i get anxious going there everyday. teachers dont care about our mental health and feelings. they change completely when visitors are around. prices in the canteen are super high. and the behavior system is too strict. They care more about uniform then bullying.
It is generally a great school but me and my legal guardian (who is a police officer) agree the consequences are sometimes too severe for what the person has done and the actions that are taken when something has happened are too severe. The canteens food is very monotonous and not the healthiest and the prices for the drinks are ridiculous e.g a half a litre flavoured water is 95p but the small cartons of orange juice are 1.00.
The school doesn't care about its students they only care about making money, the staff are rude they punish students for things they didn't do because they cant be bothered to figure out the whole truth, when they email parents about the situation they take it out of context and makes the situation sound worse than it actually is. they give people worse punishments than what they deserve when getting important information out to parents and students they leave it until the last minute, they don't communicate with teachers this then puts more stress on the teachers.
this school is completely and utterly a disgrace they only care about work and not about students well being or bullying the staff are also incredibly rude and ignorant
i like, but not love this school. their students prosper well and the teachers are committed to making sure their kids get their education perfect. but between all of it, they have so many flaws. they don’t take mental health seriously. they didn’t get a student proper therapy and mental help after saying they had bad thoughts. they preach mental health but are only up to help those who are of a certain well-being. the school is extremely focused in us being their students that the kids don’t feel comfortable talking to a teacher, there’s only a few kids receiving actual mental health care even though many kids are struggling deeply. they don’t feel comfortable with the teachers, reflecting on them and the school as a whole. they need to look more into mental health, they need to be understanding, instead of standing and giving them a speech about ED’s, suicide awareness and general mental things with a blank face. the children cannot work with the students if the teachers don’t see them as more than a student outside of lesson time, make teachers who can be a child’s anchor as well as their teacher. make teachers who make a child feel welcome, throughout any school year, not just year 7. make a school that will ALWAYS be there for students.
I’ve been here for a couple of years now and the amount of injustice. Hey, it’s a great school by view and by what they tell you, but the minute you begin to mess up or do something wrong, they will single you out from others for the rest of your school life. I have been lucky enough to get on the good side with majority of my teachers but 2 single me out from other people, use different tones and behave differently with me. it’s extremely unfair as it’s not actually something i have done. It’s other people. They handle situations poorly and it’s genuinely unfair.
