this is the worst school i have ever been to. i have been to two secondary schools. this place is a hellhole. i have mental health issues that developed in y10, and even prior to that the teachers were the least supportive staff i have ever met, they don’t know what they are doing and all they do is shout. the kids there have no behavioural treatments that work, we’re just locked into rooms with a teacher as punishment, and there is no dealing with anything. the SLT are the most unfriendly people i’ve ever met. genuinely don’t go here. i was forced to leave in the MIDDLE OF YEAR 11, because they refused to support me through my mental health issues. they threatened me with WAVE and CHES, and accused me of things i did not do trying to make a problem with me and were suprised when i snapped. do not go here. stay as far away as you can.

i used to go here from year 7 to year 10. my first year was not the best although my grades were okay, good actually. the teachers WERE nice at that point but i was getting bullied and harrassed and nobody who could help did anything after it was reported. i was told to ignore them. that kept happening. they do not support the LGBTQ enough , there is NO mental health support other than 5 min breaks and we are disciplined for the most outrageous things. i left in 2021 beacuse i was being harshly bullied, they fined us for not coming to school because i was drowning in self hatred beacuse the staff wouldn’t stop the bullying or discipline the ones who were harrasing me and my friends and just blamed us. when we took it into our own hands we got into trouble and i left. i wouldn’t recommend anyone to go here. save yourself and kids the trouble
Great, needs a bit of improvement though
overall the school was really great for me personally, it helped me with the process of being diagnosed with dyslexia and was really good with finding resources to aid with it. one thing that i think it could do better is having quiet rooms for students with sensory needs (such as myself) to retreat to when needed. i was fortunate enough to have had a great history teacher who let us go to his room during breaks but there was no officially designated room for this situation.
they priorities bad teachers over the well-being of students
theres been a few incidents where the head teacher has tryed to silence students so the teachers can still be teaching when they shouldn't be near children. the good teachers that respects students are under constant presure from the head teacher to not laugh with students and to treat students poorly its led to loved teachers leaving

I have not enjoyed my time at this school, i am now entering year 11, and the headteacher from 2018 (to im assuming when i leave in 2023) has let the school go to rubbish. There is very strict security measures that do not work, and there is no actual mental health/ bullying support that works. The classrooms are always too cold or too hot and i believe personally that this school should not be recommended, especially not to anybody diverse (mentally ill, LGBT+, or POC) because there is no support for bigotry in our school. Ofsted are coming in soon luckily and i hope they see the issues.
Good School
Teachers are kind, food is good, toilets need a bit of a revamp tho.
Not great
Very few teachers are supportive and the school doesn’t listen and doesn’t actually support you they just lie and they just put loads of pressure on students and don’t actually take responsibility for anything and they haven’t fixed the flushes on the girls toilets and only serve 1 proper meal
