I was sometimes harassed by peers in lesson, commenting about what they’d do to my body/say sexually implied messages about me and also my mum which is horrific and the teachers would often hear it and do nothing. One teacher who left shortly before the 2024 six week breakup just gave them a slap on the wrist and never did anything, I cried for some time because I felt so hurt and ashamed.
Also, some of the teachers they were employing could barely speak english.
Today, the school started a ticket system for uniform, yes I completely understand the needs for uniform I guess, but making kids go to the hall and say they’ll ring their parents to get them the correct uniform them proceeding to not call the for up to an hour (so I hear) is just bad.
Coming back to the bullying, bullying is constantly overlooked by staff and its terrible how many people affected get no help at all or justice.
The head and assistant head (I think) held an assembly to discuss new things to come for the school. They said they would answer questions and respond to feedback. This was not the case mostly, as one student raised a problem that was horrible, kids getting rocks thrown at them, and the endless bullying that happens in school. This student began to speak out against the school’s inability to try and stop these issues, to which the headteacher deflected her statement. Her assistant then proceeded to tell the student her statement was rude and I believe that this was horrid. No student should be told off for bringing up such a serious issue??
This school seems to be chanting all about individuality and being yourself, but that doesn’t seem to be the case when you go to school being yourself (visually). I think any piercing is fine, okay maybe they could take it out but at least let them use clear ones? And I don’t believe the school has any right making students with healing piercings take them out, this could lead to infections. Yes I’m aware that people may already be aware of the rules surrounding it, but i still don't believe healing piercings should be made to be taken out. Also, this school seems to be more worried about the appearances of students rather than their educations, the amount of teachers leaving and the amount of cover lessons I was put through was horrific; I also went through around 4 science teachers I think before finally getting a permanent one.
Racism in this school is horrific too, the amounts of racism I witnessed towards POC teachers and students was major.
The worst school by far my child got bullied and harrased at this school and the teachers do nothing about it my little girl is in a bad environment where people vape and skip when they should have there head down and focuse 0/10 she hade to move schools
sir harrys was a good school for years, when my youngest was there. every school has problems but teachers and students were happy. sadly, the schools lost the plot since new head took over, behaviour is awful, vaping and bullying out of control, the school isnt safe, and many teachers quiting. every parent and student I talk to are all concerned with the state at sir harrys. i dont recommend this school right now.
Exams were interrupted by misbehaviour and no extra consideration, this was not communicated to parents. I had to learn about this from my daughter in tears. No consequences either. SLT have yet to return many queries, something is not right.
This school needs improvement. The school cares about uniforms more than bullying and safety. My children’s lessons disrupted every day. Many students wonder the corridors, mess about whilst SLT do nothing and don’t listen to parents. Utter shambles. OFSTED needs to do something.
Very bad behaviour, my child doesn’t feel safe and cannot concentrate in lessons because of disruptions, bullying not dealt with, complaints ignored, bullies defy SLT openly, hide between lessons and vape. Don’t send your child here.
absolutely horrific school, they offer no support to young people with additional need or mental illness they just expect them to suck it up and deal with it. they have a bad bullying issue which 9/10 times nothing gets dealt with my daughter was dealing with the death of her mother and all they were concerned about was her attendance. do not send your children here !
It's not a bad place don't get me wrong. Bit the priorities of SLT are incredibly off. They put more effort into banning phones and coats then they do racism and homophobia. Their solution to problems is slapping up a poster and saying job done.
I love going to this school, I love most of the teachers and the way that they deal with situations. I think that the school in my opinion is one of the best run in the country not that I've even to anyother one. I think the behaviour in the school is very well managed by the staff if something is to happen. I feel safe within the school grounds and know nothing is going to happen to me when I am on the property.

Overall, this school needs a lot of improvements.
