They do not care about about us students! They only pretend care to care they say they are doing stuff to help us us but they are not. My school knows for a fact that I struggle with my mental health and they do NOTHING about it. Sure some of teachers are nicer to me but the pastoral leaders don't do anything AND THAT IS LITERALLY THEIR JOB.
They also don't do anything about bullying. They spend so much time gathering statements from people to prove someone is being bullied just to give the bully a slap on the wrist and then they are free to go bully anyone they like.
An old friend of mine got touched inappropriately by another student, they reported it to some members of staff just for them to say that "they couldn't prove that it was purpose" so the person who did it got away scot-free.
I am also transgender and (before it was a legal requirement) told my parents when I asked for my name and pronouns to be changed on the register, luckily I had already came out to them. Also, most of the teachers don't my correct pronouns. Which is ironic because they claim to be very LGBTQ+ supportive.
They don't teach you about things that matter but on the rare occasions they actually do, they seem to make sure it is so boring you can barely concentrate on the teacher even if you tried. However that goes for all schools, not just this one.
CONCLUSION:
This school doesn't care about you, they only care about your "M4L scores" and whether you can pass their tests that contain questions you will most likely never need to know the answer to.
Absolutely appalling. The school’s staff do not give to sh¡ts about bullying or mental health. I was bullied for 3 years straight. It got so bad I couldn’t even bring myself into going in. I had told the staff several times about it and all they did was give them a telling off. Bare in mind the bullying I got was mental and physical. I was being pushed, hit, verbally abused and much more. The kids there are absolutely insane. Some of them are alright but with time they all became proper b¡tches.
There were times I refused to go in because of the verbal abuse I got from not just students, but teachers too.
At one point I had not been into school for about a year. Which was bad for me because I needed my education and because they were doing nothing to prevent the thing that stopped me coming in, I was considering moving to a different school. When the school found out about this they immediately tried to confide in me, start to care about the bullying because they get money from the government because I am a special needs child and needed extra help. They didn’t use the money on me they used it on their school. Getting better outdoor activities and such.
After a massive hassle with them I moved to a much better school and thank god I did. Because that place was so bad for my mental and emotional well being.
Absolutely appalling
No support is given to students unless you’re a student they have faith in to keep the schools overall grading high, bullying… they ignore it, was bullied for 5 years with at home issues and when my mental health drastically took a turn for the worst, they took me out a year before my GCSEs and put me on an hour a day with a teaching assistant, when recieving my results was told by the current head that “we all knew I wasn’t going to do well”!
I went from predicted 5-7s to 1-3s because of this
For the well-being of your child I would not even think about this school! X
Atrocious- as former student support is appalling. Bullied for 5 years and nothing was done about it! Was called a liar and watched as people got away with everything! No backbone, no discipline. For your/ your childs sake, do not send them/ go to this school.
