DONT GO TO SEAFORD HEAD SCHOOL it's not how it seems

I get shouted at daily to the point in going home crying.
The school don't care about the students they just care about the money and their look.
They don't deal with bullying from staff or students because if they do they then have to record it and they want to be known as a bullying free achool

Review

My time at Seaford Head has been atrocious. The schools understanding of SEN needs is absolutely shocking, with the one size fits all approach being implemented on all students by the senior leadership. However, if you do not fit in that box, you are set up for failure by the school and they will make you aware of it. Communication is also incredibly bad, you will find nothing gets passed on including vital medical information and if it does get passed on, it is usually turned into a game of Chinese Whispers and it is a nightmare. However, I must say that the schools academic support and resources are amazing - with materials such as online versions of textbooks, ability to email teachers with any concerns & multiple online revision platforms. Brilliant for those who do not require extra support, but horrible for those who do

Mental Health

Some of the teachers were lovely and very welcoming, however some disregarded mental health and would put you down because of it. I didn’t exactly have a good experience at this school, I felt alone and as if I was drowning in struggles without student services to help. Some of the student service officers were lovely but a select few discarded my feelings as a young mind and my mental health was bc I’ve seen it around me so I have copied those behaviours, after talking to other students they had the same experience when in fact we had diagnoses which they wouldn’t believe. The teachers didn’t like to acknowledge female necessities like being excused from class to sort things out in the bathroom, they would say we are being dramatic and it’s not that urgent.

I also had an uncomfortable experience with a teacher who I had for 2 years that would consistently say inappropriate comments to me and other female students. However I am not completely sure they are still a teacher there.

To end on a positive, most of the teachers were great teachers and due to them I got great grades however my mental health suffered hugely because of those other teachers.
