Minimal Communication between students and teachers about rules and uniform policy. Changing the rules every term or so. Severe lack of involvement in bullying and especially in homophobic and transphobic comments. Myself and my peers received almost 3 years of bullying and harassment but nothing changed. Respect from teachers is minimal if not interested in the subjects. Understaffed and underfunded. Only apply if absolutely interested in an apprenticeship or university as they push it heavily. If not, the teachers are almost less friendly and try to convince you otherwise. Otherwise, the workshop is great and unlike any other school I've seen.
Only just started my year 10 experience but damn im happy i applied to this once in a lifetime opportunity.
The staff are down to earth and reasonable with solving issues among students, mostly a none toxic atmosphere due to a strict pastoral system and general respect between peer to peer.
The lessons are a blast and you will always learn something without having any disruptions from other students behaviour something my last school suffered horrendously from (George pindar).
If your child is interested in the engineering, cyber, science aspects of a career i highly recommended you attend one of the opening events to see about joining.
