Do what's asked. Be polite and courteous. Ignore the disruptive element. Do the work you want to learn, there's plenty of good teachers there to teach you.
My son achieved plenty of 6's, 7's and 8's and only two C points for failing to submit some holiday homework.
Absolutely awful, they falsely give out sanctions, don’t have enough staff, very strict dress code, and in all honesty it’s a bad school, wouldn’t recommend.
Hello, I am a former student here and I'd heavily like the complain about this school. I feel as if us students aren't respected equally, for example, Teachers favour different students. Mainly the popular students might I say.
Personally I am glad that this is my last year here as I personally feel like these have been one of the most draining years of my life. The only good part is being able to see my friends but other than that I'm mainly depressed and have cried way to many times in this school.
Also when ive asked for help and such I've been rejected most the time and I'm just genuinely not happy.
ALSO MUST I SAY. I do not approve of the 'morning muster' not once has it actually done or affect us in any positive way. We now have to wake up early to stand on the field just to be told to put are phones away and are jewley taken off us. And what I find outrageous is how if we're even one minute late and not on the mound we get head of year at lunch.
Even if we have traffic, when that's not put fault. I feel as if I've been wronged.
I recommend not joining this school from personal experiences. Sure it has activities and such, but I genuinely feel disrespected by most staff members, even if there teaching me or not.
I strongly believe I have formed mental health issues from this school, such as anxiety and often feeling depressed to the point I have had many mental break downs. But I feel almost afraid to even go to a member of staff ect+
Not to mention teachers 100% favour specific students, what means we end up getting picked on/ straight up disrespected once again but when we try to talk about it we get silenced and the blame. It's honestly draining.
ALSO, might I just say. I find the new uniform policy, ABSOLUTELY ridiculous. I can understand if I'm wearing one to many rings or REALLY big hoops but just wearing a simple necklace or slightly dangling earing we get then physically taken off us and sent to the front desk to collect at the end of the day. I DONT understand how this is distracting amongst class learning, and even if that's not the case it doesn't make us look any the less smart. In my personal opinion, the uniform just by its self is rather is bland.
And just a quick add on, us being made to wear the uniform when it's over 20° is honestly the worst experience I've gone through. Taking are blazers off/ ties (if your a boy) does NOTHING. We barely even wear the blazers anyway, only when we're told to what then we take off bc, personally uncomfortable to me. And nobody can think straight in the heat while having to wear DARK navy blue trousers that are fairly thick material. I would atleast invest in getting a summer uniform such as shorts or a skirt. Or just a different colour in general.
Over all I don't recommend going here, the people are disruptive. I can't learn no matter how hard I try and when we try to talk about it we get silenced once again. I recommend going to a different school if u want a proper education
Not going to sugar coat it I’ll sat it how it is. ITS ABSOLUTELY DREADFUL. HATE IT HERE SO MUCH. CANNOT STAY THERE FOR ANOTHER 10 MINS. IM Y11 AND THIS SCHOOL IS ACTUALLY TRAGIC. THE STAFF ARE RUDE AND ACT LIKE ITS THE PUPILS FAULT EVEN THOUGH THEY CANT TEACH PROPERLY OR JUST SHOUT AT YOU FOR NOTHING. the uniform is low-key hideous and the shoulder padded blazers are grim. the staff act like they care about you but they 100% dont and the amount of break downs I’ve had in there is ridiculous, they act like it’s a safe place when it isn’t. People get constantly mocked and the school do nothing. The “cold calling” is barbaric because they get all aggregated when you genuinely don’t know the answer. The teachers here have the biggest egos thinking their superior compared to us and think they’re in control of everything. Genuinely they don’t care about mental health WHATSOEVER. and don’t get me started on seating plans they put you next to people you despise and even when you talk to the teacher 1/1 discussing your concern they brush past it and make you sit there even if you’ve cried and begged to move. AND the policies in here are silly why can’t we wear one simple necklace or have some acrylic nails? they’re brainwashing us making us all look the same, you cannot be unique in this school. the people in classes affect mental health severely and the teachers don’t care. MIGHT I ADD they make you do detentions for nothing like especially the MUSTER my oh my the muster is a silly thing what should be removed because may I say I’ve had an outrageous experience with the muster because if you’re like 1 min late you get a 30min lunch detention like seriously what’s the point? they say it’s because “in the real world you would be fired” which in fact is a LIE I’ve had numerous teachers come in like 15 mins late and they haven’t been fired or made to do a 30min detention? words can’t describe how awful my experience here has been so I’m absolutely delighted its my last year so I never have to go back here AGAIN. I can rant on for years but I think I’ve said enough. so if you want a great school dont come here AT ALL
As a person with disability’s you would expect the school to do what ever they can to help, well they didn’t I was in a wheelchair for a while and couldn’t go to school, they wouldn’t send any work home but when I went to school I would get severely hurt, I got pushed down the b-block stairs when I was out of my wheelchair and they did nothing about it.
The teaching level is okay but teachers sometimes didn’t know what they were teaching and there was a lot of substitutes. The teachers and heads of year don’t care about your emotional well-being and say whatever they can to get you to go to lessons, frankly they care more about nail varnish and piercings than they do about their students mental state.
It was okay if you’re intelligent but they aren’t good at dealing with mental health and individuality and has strict dress code so couldn’t show shoulders because it “excited the boys” and couldn’t wear crop tops and if your shorts were “too short” you had to put on the pe shorts
