It's a good school. Most teachers are good. Equipment is good for the budget. But they blow things way out of proportion, an example of this is when I said one

This school has a lot of issues some students have been caught distributing THC and making a profit and on some occasions students have been let off without any serious consequences.
At break times and after school students can be found scattered every were vaping and some even smoking cannabis and other substances with other suspicions of ketamine , heroine and some about anabolic steroids and trenabolic acid mainly around the more athletic groups of boys.
The school food has a very small variety of food not involving vegans and even excluding some religions that require a certain diet that I feel should be highly encouraged. I also feel as if it is mainly based along profit as the prices for any food is ridiculously high paying 2x the price it would be at a supermarket and being bought in mass quantities they would get a sizeable discount.
Some of the teachers are incredibly rude towards students and parents. However, some of the teachers are above expectations and are outstanding with including students, being respectful and even putting a lot of effort into their lessons to make it as fun and educating as possible such as ms venner, mr romain, mr rushton and ms markee.
The school also has horrific maintenance as they only care for the school when they are due an ofsted view in for example the bathroom doors covered in racial slurs, privacy being taken away due to laziness along with gum under table covering the bottom of every desk which still disgusts me as it has probably been there for years and the school only lets it get worse.
Overall I think they have major issues that should be checked out immediately.
Hello guys o am a parent of q boy that goes to this school and I am here to right a complaint about bullying my some age 13 gets repeatedly picked on because his lack of athletic abilities.
Also the school is ran like a military camp getting constant telling to tuck your short in also the litter is unbearable you host assemblies and have your own cleaners the lack of litter being picked up itw unbearable my son says you would think its a recycling centre
And don't get me started about the scabs that run the toilets vaping, smoking and doing drugs also my son sent me a picture of the toilets door and it was full of inappropriate racist pictures
On thw plus side thought my son says he enjoys some of the teachers like miss venner as without her je said he would be alot less confident.
As a current student, saltash community school is amazing. A little bit scabby but fine. There are some bullying that happens along the lines of disabled and autistic people but not many fights happen. Much better than Ivybridge 👍👍
I think the school is ok. It has its flaws but the teachers and food are mostly good. I haven't experienced any bullying. The problems I have is the litter everywhere and the state of disrepair the school is in. I mean in my current history class there are holes in the roof and some walls in the corridor.
Awful school! So glad to get out . Do not get me started on the teachers, They would always pick on you for having piercings and natural nails, when there will be people in the classroom swearing and disrupting the class, but yet they wouldn’t care about them. All they would care about is your appearance And how you look. They moan at you for walking around inside the building with coats on how ridiculous is that ,yet the teachers are still allowed to walk around with their “outside” coats on. This school is terrible for listening to your problems they say they will help you, but end up doing nothing. Would not recommend at all.
most teachers are kind and helpful, however a lot of them do not care for any of the children. the school has gotten way stricter which is expected due to its reviews, however it has gone over board on the behaviour system, the routines, lining up and a lot more. the school preaches about how much they care for our mental health however they have proven that they do not care and just want to make themselves and the school look good.
This school has gone downhill so quickly it's unreal. I was mostly a student here throughout the leadership of the previous headteacher, who seemed to actually care about the students to some capacity. However in my last year(s), leadership was changed to the current Kate Littledyke and the changes are black and white, even looking at the ofsted reports.
The budget has been severely cut in several departments, mainly arts and science, in order to fund more sport activities and programs. While that's good for some students, it's detrimental to the majority.
The building itself is in a state of disrepair. Temporary glass panes from being smashed/cracked, walls with holes in them, walls with asbestos in them (some of which with display boards NAILED into them), etc. Along with the severe lack of bins around the school, it's rather disgraceful.
The school has a MAJOR bullying problem which they have refused to acknowledge for the past few years. I have witnessed a student reporting that they had been bullied for an extensive period of time to a faculty member, only for the member of staff to respond with, "Stop talking cr*p, that doesn't happen and you know it".
There have also been several incidents that I have witnessed of discrimination within the school, particularly towards disabled and LGBTQ+ students. A couple of years ago, one of the heads of admin made several derogatory comments about autistic people in front of multiple students. Word got around fast and a student led petition to get the school to investigate it was signed by over 100 students, but nothing ever came of it. The school also refused to acknowledge and respect transgender/gnc students, going as far as to break confidentiality laws and inform the parents of said students of their child's identity, even if the school knew full well that the student was living in an abusive household which wouldn't take the news well. I know of two separate people in similar situations which this happened to, and one of them almost committed suicide because of what the school did.
All in all, this school cares not about the students wellbeing, their individuality or even their voices. If a student gets bad grades, they're a 'problem student', regardless of the situation that has led them there. And if a student is getting good grades, they're constantly defended by the school, to the point where kids can get away with physical assault because their test scores makes the school look good.
For the record, I am not complaining about the teachers themselves. 90% of the actual teaching staff are caring, intelligent people who even go out of their way to help the students. The majority of the schools problems lie in the faculty and admin, which desperately needs a revamp.

This school sucks ✌️
This school does nothing for the mental health of it's students.
I'd go as far to say it makes it worse! I know so many people that have left that school and been so much happier. They do nothing for bullying at all. The only good thing about this school is the food, and even then the cafeteria is so very small.

This school is awful. They dont care about bullying or students mental health. The quality of teaching is shocking and the staff are rude and its quite shocking to see a student be spoken to like that buy a teacher. They need to get rid of the headteacher because shes ruined it
I gave my school 2/5 instead of lower because it wouldn’t be fair on some of the teachers. The teachers who actually want to teach. Teachers who want their students to go places. But they are let down but the school’s admin. The people higher up, who try to turn a blind eye to more important issues. If anything happens that might change the schools reputation, which already isn’t a good one, they try to brush it under the carpet. They try to make everyone forget about it instead of doing things about it, without any support for the students. For example, bullying, abuse, incompetent teachers- just to name a few. And anyway, this isn’t even making the school have a better reputation. It’s already bad. But, as a result of the schools negligence and wanting to brush things under the carpet, multiple people have attempted suicide, and that’s just in the time I’ve been at the school. Almost all of them were due to bullying and things happening at the school. Things the school knew about, that, even after suicide attempts, they still did nothing about.
