It's a great school, really. I've been here for 2 years, and have a few things to say:
1. You only get isolation if you deserve it: I've literally heard students being told to put away phones and the teacher just being ignored. In one subject, our entire class used to treat our teacher as a joke (they've grown up, Exam years are scary I guess), but she hands out 2 warnings per class at worst. If you get Iso, then you've either been really horrible, or have an actually strict teacher.
2. The teachers are great... Mostly: Only bad thing I have to say is that some teachers are a wee bit too strict, a certain teacher literally saw a mistake in the exam paper, and goes, "well, we've got to follow the marking scheme." But for the most part, they've been really interactive and aware that the classes move at different paces, helping everyone reach their potential
3. On the issue of phones... Last year, we were allowed to use them outside of classes. Now? Just a total ban. Really unfair imo, but i understand the reasoning. Students can still bring phones in, they're just not allowed to use them during school hours unless a teacher gives explicit permission to.
4. Quick run over everything else: Food's ok, don't expect any miracles. You're better off bringing your own, tho. Bullying is unfortunately still an issue, but where isn't it? Just don't antagonize anyone and you should be fine. And Chez. Just Chez. You'll understand if you go here.
All ok unless there’s bullying involved and they would rather send home the person being bullied rather than deal with the bully resulting in us dealing with it ourselves out of school!!! Most uncaring school I’ve ever come across!
Most racist school. Gave me very bad grades for my GCSEs 2020. I literally have video proof of one of teachers calling me a slur. If you’re a person of colour especially black I’d suggest you go to Saint Johns.
I would recommend the school to any one the staff are very nice very supportive and help with any big or small problems and think about the school environment it's a very great school and I would recommend it to anyone
