A snippet of my time. (Year 11 experience)
Overall, my time at Saint Cecilia’s was amazing. As someone with severe mental health issues many of my teachers were supportive and did everything they could to help and support me. However, because I was struggling so much and in and out of school in year 11 my grades are not good and I most likely won’t meet the standards to join the 6th form. My grades previously were amazing and in most subjects I was excelling. I feel like it is unfair to have the same standards and rules for the 6th form as at the time I was vulnerable and it was difficult for me to function. Now being in intensive therapy I will hopefully not go back to hospital and will get my grades up again as 6th form is a fresh start from square one. I wish they would take that into consideration.
