Don't really care about students' wellbeing or health. Only care about controlling pupils and using them to promote this fake fantasy of a school. The food and nutrition department is the only good part of this prison.
All they care about are the students who do well with no extra help needed - bare minimum. If you are doing well you receive support - otherwise they push you to one side. No support nor care if you can no longer get the higher grades, or stop looking at a Russell Group Universty. Even if you experience personal struggles during your time and it is clear that that is why your grades have dropped, they don't support you. Being told to get over it (a great loss) and pull your socks up is shocking to be told as a teenage - you need the support. Unfortunately all good teachers get better offers elsewhere and leave, so unless you know you can go through school with no support, this place is not worth it.
This school probably needs an urgent review from Ofsted. A grading done more than a decade ago doesn't do justice to parents currently seeking admission for their children here.
Current situation doesn't reflect Ofsted grading from years ago.

A good school with academics however PE is especially sexist and also the school takes no consideration to teachers that are no good or don’t respect students at all. A few teachers are simply rude and the school doesn’t take this into consideration at all however on the whole it’s a safe environment where you can learn and make friends.
Lots of academic help and support available when needed. New science block and sports campus are great, as are the Rotherfield sixth form facilities.
The environment means bullying isn't so much of a problem as you would expect, and students are well educated on the important PSHE topics such as bullying, drug use et cetera. Food is fine albeit a bit expensive but convenient.
Overall, the school holds itself to high esteem and maintains the standards to meet the expectations. If you are capable of working hard then you are more than capable of achieving success.
A decent school with great systems in place for both educational and pastoral help where needed. Amazing history and beautiful site.
Only one critique, they tend to gender sports heavily, and you have no say over what sports you play in games lessons.
Incredible support- for a lower achieving student (grade 3/4 in English and maths mock exams) I was offered after school help sessions, as well as in school holidays close to GCSE exams. Quite demanding but they want the best for you.
