Appalling place. Teachers are rude and condescending and at the same time demand respect. Must be because how insecure they are about having to go into teaching because of their failed careers in their field.
There is a security woman...always shouting at people. Horrible woman to be around...Appears to be premature, and acting out for attention. Shame they couldn't find a more professional than this woman...horrible... and she seems to be bored and ses really unprofessional.
I coped well personally but a lot of people would find it challenging due to the amount of work.
Most teachers aren’t that great, students mainly do the work to achieve their grades. Also clear bias shown by teachers to certain students.
Grades are everything is this school- for some students, that’s literally all they care about.
A lot of tests, many of them quite difficult (you do well in those then GCSEs won’t be a problem).
Interior design of school is pretty average, playgrounds are good (can play football on them) and fields aren’t very well maintained in the winter seasons.
Ample lunchtime break (over an hour).
Very good library (can make good use of computers and resources).
No mobile phones allowed for younger years(easy to sneak in though lol)
Added privileges for 6th form students (private cafe, mobile phone privileges).
School offers a fair amount of sports- very rarely get to play football.
Food is not the best, some days it’s good, other days it’s unbearable.
Overall, not as bad as everyone says it is. I enjoyed my time here- ultimately depends on whether you can cope with the pace of learning.
It’s a good school but puts way too much pressure on people, e.g. the tests in maths are harder than the gcse tests🤦🏻♂️. Also they don’t actually care about you, they only care about their reputation. But it does give good results so🤷🏻♂️. Also they don’t do football which is stupid.
