Do not send your child here if they have additional needs
I was a little concerned about all the comments I had heard from parents with older children at Queen Elizabeth’s about uncontrollable bullying, so to say I was anxious about sending my daughter there was to say the least.
She went from a smaller school and with Queen Elizabeth’s being the only school in our catchment, I felt I had no choice but to send her there.
At first she seemed to settle in well but after the first few months it became apparent that she had additional needs that would require further input from Sendco.
This is where the school fails, I attended a meeting with other parents that had children with additional additional needs and they all said the same, you might as well hit your head against a brick wall as the support you a get from Queen Elizabeth’s is close to zero.
I have attended numerous meetings with head of year as well as teachers and as we come to the end of this school year we are no better supported than at the beginning.
Please do not send you child to this school if they require additional support as they won’t get any extra help.
This school is more focused on the achievers of the school and putting them in the school newsletter to make them look good, than they are at supporting those in need.
Definitely not a diverse school at all, it is a predominately white school. Experienced racism on multiple occasions and reported it to the appropriate staff yet basic action was taken. This school turns a blind eye to bullying and racism but when it comes to homophobia they’re quick to put students in isolation. Sometimes for just having an opinion of disagreeing with homosexuality. Do not recommend for people of colour!
Head teacher is rude obnoxious and says things that are found offensive to students whether or not he means it . School should be a place you enjoy coming to but he makes it feel like it's not
Honestly no , I had to leave this school not even through my first year at qegs , I didn't even get too year 8 . There's the odd staff that are lovely , but most staff are awful, there was a teacher that pushed me into a class room because I refused to go in because I was crying , I was trying to walk away from a staff and she grabbed my hand , I don't recommend this school , most of the reviews are bad but it's so true . I would never go into class because the stupid teachers would never help me with work , don't put your kids in this school , I know I'm only a year 8 but trust me , it'll be the worst thing you will ever do. It'll drain the life out of your kids
Well one teacher is (in my opinion) really bad. But other than that it's such a good school I actually love it so much, I haven't been here for long but everyone is so nice, older kids are a little aggressive going down the stairs but that doesn't bother me. It's just really good
I went to this school yes very good teacher,s I just went in got on with lessons it doesn't seam 5 minutes ago very much appreciated school was a long time ago for me the teachers was pleased with me always gave me a good school report at end of term so thanks for teaching me

Wheelchair access is terrible I had to go up and down like 5 flights of stairs as the lifts decided to break, no lift up to the second part of the cooking room.
A few good teachers, a lot of bad ones, eg can’t control classes, never talk just shout at students, tell students off for nothing. ALOT of boring lessons. ~ E, Year 8 qegs student x
I still go to the school its done really well with the pandemic and teachers have helped me return to school from not going for about 1 year. The teachers are amazing at their jobs and really supportive when im a parent im definitely sending my kid or kids here
