Disgusting q3 Tipton......
This school is horrible dont teach the children alot all they do is watch the kids come in and pick them up on (eyelashes Make up hair cuts hairs trainers uniform body piercing) aloud of rubbish i have got 2 children there and i have thinking about home learning them
When the children play up bang the phone is ringing to moan at you the school is a joke teachers am cocky
My daughter is beening bullied nothing is done about it i have left messages for different teachers to phone me 3 days on going i am still ringing the school know regarding this issue my daughter is not eating prople or sleeping prople because of the bullys in that school.the head teacher is rubbish you can never make.an appointment to meet her sorry to say the teachers am the same i am trying to move my children to an other school if not I will be home learning them ...

I’m not even sure what to say about this school. I really do have mixed emotions. On one hand, I find this school ok. Teachers in certain areas are actually good at teaching us while others let us down which is very hard on us if In yr 11. Some teach us the materials that we need to pass our exams while others waste a lesson due to their bad teaching skills or trying to calm the class down.
While dealing with coronavirus this school should not be praised. I am expected to do my GCSEs at the end of the year. I have already missed 6 months of Material and I want to learn as soon as possible, this doesn’t happen. We are expected to line up in our classes outside in designated areas. We have been told not to mix with other years groups yet they too are lining up next to me. They let classes in one at a time and the youngest years go first. Which put the year 11s at an even more disadvantage as we lose around 10-20 minutes of our lesson.
On another hand the school rules are completely pointless and very biased. You could get into trouble for say trousers ( as they only accept certain ones) while yours are part of the schools rules and you have abided by them you will be sure to find another student wearing the exact same who will not get into trouble. This screams favouritism and this shouldn’t be allowed.
I have been apart of both the ace academy ( former name) and Q3 Tipton. The teachers will tell you they have seen a significant change in every area and that we are the best of the best. No. This isn’t true, personally to me nothing has changed the main thing they wanted to improve was lack of teachers. Has this changed ? Not really. We still get supply teachers and even teachers who quit within the first month.

Don't go
I really do not recommend going here as its a terrible school. There's not much to say really. In class im an introvert and struggle alot with work and I don't get any assistance. I was and still do get made fun of by other students and the school does f**k all about it.
My experience at Q3 tipton
The school is really bad. I am a student in my final years and I am failing. In year 7 I had expectations of grade 9s and 8s. Now I’ll be lucky to get 4s and 5s. The school said they would hire new staff to avoid using supply staff but in turn they hire incompetent staff who fail to control classes and fail to teach us. Also the schools rules are not properly enforced so we often have people getting told of for rules that don’t even exist. Since the coronavirus pandemic the schools handling of the virus has been pathetic. Students are forced to line up out side in lines that are packed closer then classes. Students just mess around outside as there’s only 3 teachers for 400 students in one area. And the online lessons are just pathetic. I don’t even join them anymore as I learn more doing my own revision. The school does not want to take my education seriously so I will take it into my own hands. Overall the school does not feel safe. The senior staff say the school is improving but you’ll never see them outside their offices oh and I forgot to mention the stairs. There are 3 stairwells in the school. Let’s put it this way. I don’t feel safe on the stairs. And trust me it’s for good reason. Overall this school needs serious help. Like right now.

This is quite ironic as recently they have been doing countless assemblies about attendance and how being late by 1 minute everyday will add up... so they have decided that if you are late to school they will give you a 30 minute detention. However wasting 15 minutes EVERY LESSON is completely fine.
In the lessons themselves students often get bullied/called names etc... and in most lessons the teachers either don't do anything about it or just say "dont make comments" and the same person makes fun of the same kid everyday and nothing is done by teachers.
Recently the teachers have been becoming more and more strict. In the lines that I mentioned before, if you say a single word you are told to get out of the line and they will have a conversation with you after everyone else has gone into the classroom which wastes even more learning time.
Then we have the Lanyard and ID, every morning we line up to go into our tutor session and the teachers perform a uniform inspection with a checklist, if you are caught not having a lanyard they will literally send you back home after making you inform your parents. This is the stupidest thing ever. They say that the ID is for security reasons but they literally have you on the checklist and have pictures of you on the school register then you obviously know that its someone that belongs there. Also, they dont check your ID before letting you in the school, anyone can just walk in. Its just pointless.
And finally, I witnessed a student being told by a member of staff to either put their mask on properly or take it off, why do they care? We dont have to wear masks anymore. The student had his mask under his nose and he was literally being harrassed and forced to either put their mask up or take it off, the member of staff even made comments like: "Do you believe in magic because your mask wont work if its not above your nose".
That is just ridiculous and it must have been so embarrassing for the student for something that they didn't do wrong.
The school is becoming increasingly strict but in a bad way and not were they should be.
