I personally haven't experienced racism and reading these reviews I can agree with what they say as I see so many students or substitutes get criticised about how they act, look or sound like which is a main problem and negative at this high school. When you tell a trusted adult or a higher up for example Ethos, they do not do anything to help. Many teachers do not listen to students when they say they need help in lesson, in fact personally they blame you for not understanding anything, so when you don't do any of the work they put negatives on or start to shout at you in the middle of the lesson wasting time. I have been personally told off for my uniform especially for my skirt, their rule is “Only approved ‘Banner’ navy blue skirts are permitted. Black, stretchy, ‘tube’ skirts are not permitted. Skirts must be knee length, skirts that are too short or rolled up are not permitted.” which I did wear a navy blue skirt and the brand was Banner however they believed it was too tight, short and not a ‘school’ skirt when I obviously listened to the rules they provided. Im not afraid to tell you who I am, - Rosalie ,year 10.

They are changing the uniform which will make everyone look like boys and I have only just brought a new PE kit and they are changing it again????!!!! I’m not a bank and I think the children and students of this school cant express them selves with such a boyish school uniform and please tell me why they can’t wear shorts for PE like what if they get hot or we have a heat wave do they want the students to become ill or over whelmed?!

this school is horrid
Im a current student at this school, i am only in hear 8 but i have been attending here long enough to understand how bad it is to be here. Many teachers are very rude and do not have any manners, (in my experience i have been told that the reason i couldnt breathe in pe was because i was overweight and fat when they had actually pushed us too far and none of us could breathe no matter the size of us) i should also mention the fact that every teacher in the maths department does not have a clue what they are doing and there is a massive shortage, many classes have been left without a teacher for atleast 1 whole academic year. this needs to be sorted, sometimes they pick up bullying and try to fix it but you have to pester for that to happen.

My year 7 daughter got her phone confiscated while texting me about a very important topic, is this real or a jail? Also the food is shocking, how can they mess up a chicken tikka masala that bad is it that hard to follow google recipes? Another thing is the negatives, my child accumulates about 15 negatives a week for no reason except talking in lesson and chewing. We have been speaking since we learned how to so should we all just stop because a teacher wants silence, chewing doesnt affect anything to be honest it helps kids focus more as they can stop moving around and finally sit still. Anyways dont go here.

Makes me want to kms. Honestly. My friend begged to move timetables but the head teacher wouldn't do anything because of her "academics". But I asked ONCE and they asked me what's wrong and gave me a chance. This school is honestly unfair.

This school is terrible!
This is a bad school to go to in my opinion. For example, they do not care if a child got into a fight and are hurt but when it comes to a member of staff and then getting punched then they have to a whole assembly about it. They have a decent education but teachers sometimes are more concerned about the behaviour of the children than the actual learn, leaving several things out for just so they can put negatives for them and they way they talk to us student is bad (not all the teachers are bad). I think only thing that’s good about this school is food, and at least the dinner ladies have more respect to us than the actual teachers themselves.
In conclusion, I highly recommend not going to Q3 Tipton if you don’t end like me, a depressed and annoyed student.

lf i could rate everything here a 0 i truly would. if i knew this school was this horrendous i would never send any child here i feel bad for the parents and the students that attend this school. every since there was a new head teacher this school has gone mad! they don’t do anything about students feeling they don’t care if there’s anything wrong with them all they care about is there uniform my child has self harmed due to this school being u fair, not to mention i’ve got many comments on how students and staff have been racist and they allow it. they don’t let student have a voice. i seriously hate all these staff members including the new head teacher with a fake perm😂 ridiculous!

I'm an exchange student who'll study at Q3 Tipton academy and reading all these reviews is really scaring me. Since I'll basically be an immigrant all these comments about racism are pretty concerning and even the ones about teachers not giving a f*ck about anyone stress me out cause I'll need a huge amount of documents from the school to come back in my country and I can't just be ghosted.
I'm please begging if one of the local students could tell me if other exchange students have experienced bullying before? Has the class interacted with them or were they just left alone? An absolute disgrace of a school. I sent my child to Q3 for 3 years (up until year 9) before having to change the school. My child got bullied countless of times and had complained to the teachers many times with them doing nothing at all. My daughter used to tell me about the cases of S*xual assault that has happened within the school and about the teachers swearing at students and causing them to have problems with their mental health. I had a meeting with one of the teachers, about the bullying and they did absolutely nothing. There is always police outside the school and fights nearly everyday.

Toilet situations: they have locked every single toilet and the entire school has to share 3 cubicles for the girls and 3 cubicles for the boys, and dependent on where you are you have to travel half the school just to go to the toilet
This school also says they are super inclusive but when homophobia is presented they do NOTHING about it.
No accommodation for mental health problems
Canteen food is inedible 99% of the time and tastes like crap

The school is so bad, bullying and fights happen every single day. They do nothing in classes other than give you random punishments every time you cant do something that they want you to do. A art teacher robbed something from me and refused to give it back and when I swore, rang my parents and still isnt giving it back.
Please do not send your kids here, its so corrupt and it affects my life in a negative way, look for another school.

Assistant headteacher is a Bully
I am scared about the safeguarding issue about my child, as one assistant headteacher is a bully. She even favours another assistant headteachers daughter and the daughter’s boyfriend as the two teachers are friends. The teacher’s children getting privileges is morally wrong and unfair. These teachers making the school look like third world country’s school. Just recently one of the assistant headteachers demoralised the students. Please can anybody give me advise on how to take legal action against the school as their complaint protocols are not transparent and the teachers are biased covering each other’s back.

When the head of year was told about this she said she did not care as it happened off the school grounds but I know if it was a white pupil she would have cared and done something about it. WHY YOU SHOULDNT SEND YOUR BELOVED KID TO Q3 TIPTON !
I am a student of q3 academy and i wish i wasn't because there is a fight nearly every day and the teachers do nothing or maybe give them a small talk but that's it! There kitchen staff is terrible ,one time a kid used bad language at them because he has mental issues and they wouldn't feed them! the teachers never HELPED! Some of the teachers are kind and understands but some are so mean for the smallest actions also the teachers that are mean are just a waist of time ,they put the work up and play on the phones i will also say the phone rule is just why ? The teachers phones can be out but not the students phones ? Also the uniform is sick you can not were shorts when its summer you have to wear skirts or trousers i feel so bad for the boys and girls that wear trousers. Who's ever kid is in year 6 right now DO NOT PUT Q3 TIPTON AS A SCHOOL! And if you were getting bullied and , talked them let me tell you something kid THEY WONT DO ANYTHINGN TO HELP YOU ! I am now in year 7 i have joined in September and i regret it but i do have support from friends that was in primary and earned a lover -28/12/2022
Safeguarding issue
I’m a student and when I got home I got told that I was apparently sick at 11:45. My mother rushed over to the school from work. My guardian had to rush in a taxi to the house to so called let me in. The taxi cost him a fiver and with inflation at an high that 5 pounds could have helped and possibly take us far. My mom was near the school and got told it was the wrong student and only got sorry. This is a safeguarding issue. This school is ok but it’s only bads are this litter and horrible teachers and a bit off bullying

Q3 Review
This school is good with the education however, some of the teachers are rude, they go on about school safety when some teachers are saying if you don't want to be here you can leave which has caused students to run down the corridor also teachers wouldn't let me explain why I couldn't hand in my homework that I missed when I was badly ill. This school is also bad with bullying, my friend got bullied badly and beaten up the teachers were just watching. Some teachers have been badly injured because of other students starting fights outside of school, one of the teachers got hit in the jaw. Also the meals can be cold when you have first lunch, one of my friends asked for a pudding they didn't ask if he wanted custard and they just putted it on he couldn't eat it because he couldn't have dairy.

So the shcool is cool but some teachers are racist or sexist to me and some of them are too rude but the pe teacher drama teachers are calm they tech us real things but the bullieing in this school is massive the teachers are weak they can't even stop a fight like last time 2 year seven gangs were fighting a teacher got punched and they cant stop water fights wich is very disappointing the bad this overall is the racist and sexist teachers and the bullieing u would have give the school a grate but they got to improve and I get bullied a lot

I am a student at q3 Tipton and some of these reviews i have read about the school are pretty much accurate. I'm in year 10 now and i cant say i have had the best experience. I've gone through years of bullying in secondary school where nothings been done about it, even when statements were written. The staff there seem to think because they have authority that they automatically deserve the students respect when they give none in return. I will admit, there are some good staff that i feel sorry for having to work here, but most aren't like that. My grades aren't terrible but thats because I teach myself at home, the teachers cant teach properly or control the students behaviour and disrespect. There has been almost 10 fights the past 2 weeks and all they are doing is keeping eveyone elses break times inside the classrooms where some students may not be with people they particularly get along with. Not to mention fights still being caused inside the classrooms too. The schools policies are pathetic, they care more about a students uniform than they do their education. They put you in ie for wearing a bit of nail polish and use the excuse "its distracting" in order to ban it. The school preaches about expressing yourself but forces us all to wear what they want us to wear. Does a painted nail distract you from work? i dont see how..

Dont allow your children to join this 💩 shower, this school has proven its worth by singling out a child who is exempt from having to wear "the mask" making her sit in a room alone, discriminating against her and in turn breaking the law
