Half the kids end up fat from surviving on chocolate cookies and brownies and juice for the majority of their stay at pgs and the only good meal is a Friday chicken and chip. All the other food they try to make you eat is stale old plain and flavourless. The cheese on their pizza is so bad U can peel it all off in one go like a bloody facemask. And the fruit is basically rotting
all they care abt is lashes n nails, no attention is payed to actual lessons and learning.
i asked why we weren't allowed lashes everyday for a week and never got a response so clearly there isnt a reason
Since joining this school earlier this year from a school that was well below par, I can honestly say my daughter has never been happier! Her work has improved to where it originally started and her zest for school life has returned! In my opinion this school is student focused and gives support to the students, whilst giving them a sense of responsibility.
Very few nice teachers
Give dt’s/negatives for nothing
Say we can’t go to toilets during lessons but there are very few open at lunch and break
No fun lessons
No trips
“Rewards for good behaviour” not
Fights every day
Teachers shout at kids (11-16 year olds)
Rude for no reason
And more
the school did nothing about bullying and they spend their budget on the teachers, they never did anything about sa and at every moment they got the chance they blamed autism for everything.
The school is very well equipped with a great selection of teachers. The only major annoyance for me recently at the school is how strict they are about rain. For instance recently even if you have a coat, you have not been allowed outside at break and lunch if it’s raining, but because 2 years share their lunches with each other, everyone is very cramped inside and a lot of people end up being stood up meaning sometimes you aren’t able to properly eat your lunch because of this. Another example is with PE. I know that some people don’t want to be wet for the rest of the day, but because there’s a lot of rain in winter and students in higher years use the sports hall for exams, there are many times when rather than doing any physical activities, you spend the lesson in a classroom copying down words and their definitions all lesson. As I said, I understand the issue that some students do not want to get wet, but it should still be an option to go outside and do the physical activities. Obviously people on the courts would have to go inside because the courts would be too slippery and too easy to very badly injure yourself, but getting muddy isn’t an issue because there’s showers within the changing rooms and slipping on the grass shouldn’t be an issue because everyone has football boots and you end up on the ground a lot anyway when doing an activity like rugby. This means sometimes (like last year for me) you only end up having 1 or 2 lessons on a sport rather then the amount oh oh usually get, and spend the rest of the time indoors
The school completely disregards mental health issues and hasn’t an ounce of empathy, despite the number of supportive staff throughout the school. the entire teaching staff seems to has its priorities in the wrong place, focusing more on the look of students then their well-being and academic success. personally it appears that most teachers have an emerging superiority complex with the ounce of control they have over the students. the building is rancid with sexism, racism and homophobia. creating an unsafe environment for black, female and queer students
There are a few nice teachers but they are a lot of ridiculous rules and negative points are given for no reason and alot of people like me are scared of said rules or they have given up and dont follow the rules. The principal dosent interact with the students and the people running the school have no idea what the students want/need they only care about Ofsted results and uniform.
I have had bad experiences with other schools in my area and after moving to this school I felt a lot more accepted. I also feel the teachers are more connected to the students individualy rather than ignoring people's opinions.
im currently in year 9 at Pudsey Grangefield and this school is average at best. half of the teachers are nice to students and negative points can be given for the smallest of reasons
Currently in sixth form and have attended this school since year seven.
I have enjoyed being at this school quite a bit and have had good teachers who not only teach me well but have supported me too. That being said the actual year leaders could do a lot better in supporting students and their mental health, there isn’t much support for those who are struggling and I think that needs fixing.
In terms of sixth form, the teachers and lessons are good, there are multiple places to work however the library tends to always have multiple broken computers. The sixth form is however over subscribed and we have been informed there will only be more arriving next year and with a lack of seating being an issue already I am quite concerned with what will happen next year.
Overall though, I have performed well at this school and enjoyed my time here and I definitely do believe it is the best school in the area.
Great school, polite, well educated teachers, and I believe they have a great curriculum, I am in year 11, I am also waiting to do my mocks and GCSE exams, I am really hoping that the school will stay open so I can achieve my wanted grades. I also hope this will be the case so every other student gets the grade they deserve.
I have been to a previous school in year 7 before Pudsey Grangefield and I am now in year 10. This school is a great choice and currently has the highest health, behaviour, free school meal plan, and best arrangements for difficult times such as Corona virus. It's a very good school. I recommend it.
3 Star-Average.
A few nice teachers, the inside building is nice and open and after a while it is easy to navigate, nice food there but there is tons of dumb pointless or bad rules and other things which could be changed.
Examples: Not being allowed to wear coats, jackets, etc inside the building.Completely pointless and inconvenient rules especially when your bag is already full and you can't afford to just lose your stuff and inconvenient went you don't wanna stand outside and get drenched in rain or be freezing while you are putting your coat/jackets on.
Only being allowed to wear black plain joggers for Pe.Annoying rule especially when you it is hard enough to find right size in joggers.
Overcrowded Pe changing rooms. Not enough room for everyone to get changed.
Still being forced to do Pe in last year of highschool, very annoying especially when we are suppose to be revising for our exams.1 hour a week of a lesson isn't going to make you much more healthy.
Outdoor Gym is a bit run down,it needs the plastic roof replaced since it has been missing for years and the machines should have been replaced 5 year ago according to what is wrote on them.
For Science and other subjects when I was in Year 7 we was given a timetable with a room number for Science and some other subjects yet when we went to room we was told that we are going to wrong place,we later found out for those subjects we had to look on a tv screen. They could have just told us that in first place instead of putting random room number on timetable which is just confusing and causes loads of inconvenience.
Hate that just because I am a guy I have to stay in PE for longer,I don't care if it is just a few minutes the girls always get to leave PE class first.
