Sexist

This school is so bad to the point that they basically let the girls get away with anything but if the boys yawn in class they act like it’s a war crime

STAY AWAY FROM THIS SCHOOL

Not a place for SEN children. They did absolutely nothing about me being bullied for the whole 5 years I was there. a teacher disrespected me and was downright rude and shouted at me and basically said I was wrong to feel upset by her shouting and screaming during my year 11 and I got told off and a meeting was had about me just because I defended myself. They have a lack of support for SEN children and teens, its appalling, if I could physically give 0 stars I could. at the end of year 11 I was told I earned a level 2 diploma for personal development employability. a year and a half later, still waited for the diploma certificate and got the princes trust involved only to learn my old school had lied about it and turns out my teacher screwed up and "forgot" to teach me one of the modules, so I did not get the diploma, just a lousy bit of paper "recognising my efforts". A friend of my family has two autistic children, starting to look at secondary schools, and she had heard that Preston Manor was a great place for SEN students, but when she got there she was told that she had better find another school for her kids because Preston Manor couldn't accommodate their needs.

I was a "lockdown kid". My teachers couldn't be bothered to teach because of a few bad behaved students, the few lessons we did have was the teacher shouting at the misbehaviours, so we never actually did any learning. I went from having predicted grades well above pass level to failing nearly all of my GCSE's. however, despite all the bad things, the COMPASS department of Preston Manor High was really good to me even though I was not one of their students. However the new base, particularly 'monique briggs' and 'lucy glanfield' made my whole high school experience a lot worse. For three years I had "cover teachers" for nearly every single lesson.DO NOT SEND YOUR KIDS HERE!.

Common Sense

Alright this school is terrible teachers use calculators and I learnt nothing. The teachers encourage us to go outside and touch grass but they make us miss our play. Next they tells us to pay attention so I wonder how rich attention is. Lastly they tell us no falking back but isnt that how a conversation works.

terrible place. save yourself the trauma

The people and the kids there are terrible. I experienced so much racism and misogyny there from both teachers and students. The thing that tipped the iceberg was the school blatant disrespect for girls. We were told not to wear tight trousers in order to keep us from being sexually harassed and when you didn’t change your trousers they would send you to be isolated for the day. It may have not seemed as much but recently there was a creepy guy came up to me and started being out of order and my first thought was to assume there was a problem with me and that rooted from the school always telling the girls to dress appropriately to not be sexually harassed instead of educating everyone about the dangers and what to do if you are in the situation. It is a toxic environment. I was damaged mentally but the school didn’t really care as long as I was getting my good grades. However, if you get really lucky you can get a select few of amazing teachers, but on the other hand they might leave because of how poorly run the school is. I used to have a great chemistry then he left in year 11 meaning we had a replacement. She was supposed to be “experienced” and a good teacher but my grades dropped and she always belittled us when we didn’t have the answer. Don’t even get me started on the SLT being inappropriately “close” to students. Thankfully I did not stay on in their college but have moved on into a better school where I enjoy and my teachers genuinely teach me.
