Do not send your children to this school unless they are super smart or super sporty.I attended this school and I think it is one of the worst decisions my parents have ever made (they said it). This school tries to be a prestigious private girls school😂when in reality it is not.Majority of teachers are older women who are completely jealous and envious of pretty young girls.Me and my friend group were picked on for over 3 years.Dont get me wrong we was not perfect but we were made out to be complete and utter monsters so bad that students started to use it to their advantage. For example,me and my friends used to get changed in the disable toilet in the sports hall as peoples stuff went missing all the time from bags and coats which was never acknowledged by teachers. The ceiling was dipping down in the back corner of the DISABLED toilet and one of my friends grabbed the shower rail and boom, the whole ceiling collapsed.Imagine an actual student suffering with a disability done the exact same thing as my friend they would have seriously injured themselves and would’ve sued the school. But no,because the school despised me and my friends we got the blame and was given a huge sanction for over a month.Ever since then me and my friends were wrongly blamed for anything that went wrong around the school. As I mentioned that students used to use the fact that the teachers hated us to their advantage,we were made out to be bullies.Girls in the year above would pick on us and add us to group chats and if we uttered a singular word back to them they would run to the school and say we were bullying them which was completely WRONG.The older girls were let off with nothing meanwhile me and my friends lost every lunch and break time for around two months. We also had to give our phones in every morning for the whole day for some odd reason.Another thing that was personal to me was I was suffering with bad mental health and suicidal thoughts.I explained this to an SLT member and even showed her my self harm. She signed me up to some online scheme(which I never got a reply from) and sent me on my way, said she would speak to me after summer. This happened in year9 guess what, she never mentioned it again in the whole duration of year10 and 11.When she saw me it was like we never had the two hour conversation in her office of me crying and explaining EVERYTHING.Now if that isn’t terrible then I don’t know what is,especially as this school preaches about speaking out about bad mental health everyday.Luckily I have always been a strong independent individual so I just got on with it and took it that she was completely careless. But what if I wasn’t strong, independent imagine I was someone who has extremely low confidence and was struggling so badly with suicidal thoughts and the school just ignored it,that could lead to an individual progressively getting worse, even sucide. So shame on you Mrs Sykes. Honestly I could spend hours writing a review on this school but really,it’s not worth my time. So,please look around other schools and really take the time to think if this is the kind of school you want to send your daughter to because I know my parents regret it hugely and the guilt of sending me there everyday eats them alive
I went to Presales a few years ago. I don't know if its still the same, hopefully its changed.
I made a lot of friends here and some of the teachers were lovely, however most of them were not.
They give out detentions and put you in isolation for the most ridiculous things. One time I was put in isolation for a whole day for having nails on, with nothing to do, I was given no work to complete and by the end of the day I had bitten them all of because I was so bored.
One thing bout this school is that if your not super smart or super sporty they don't care about you.
The art department are amazing, I was a student who sometimes couldn't afford certain things and every Christmas they would get me a present which made my day.
I cant remember the dinner lady's name but there was one that would sometimes buy my lunch. I don't think she's there anymore though.
How girls wear there skirts has nothing to do with there education, who are they going to distracted? If its the teachers there worried about then they need to get rid of them because why would they be looking there.
And wearing lashes shouldn't be a problem, some people are insecure on how they look. Its not like there lashes are going to make them fly away, even if they wish they could.
There is a lot of bullying at this school and I get girls can be bit**y but come on. Its obvious people are being a bully not just being girls.
Also bring back the old head teacher, she was so lovely.
nice to environment but some teachers have no idea how to teach teens and they school give punishments for silly things like skirts or eyelashes however completely ignore bullying and give out isolations for wrong reasons
Funding could be used in better ways and the art/design and textiles and graphics departments need more funding and equipment. Need to employ better teachers as most don’t know how to teach the correct way. School needs to focus more on punishments for students actually doing something bad like bullying etc instead of giving something like isolation to someone for wearing earrings. Bullying doesn’t get dealt with at this school and it seems they don’t really care for the students mental health or well being
Good school, could do with more clubs and extra support clubs at lunch and after school with gcse subjects. Teachers are nice but some are not good at teaching and can make lessons boring which makes the subjects really hard to enjoy.
