Poynton High School

Horrendous school, kids that aren’t as clever as others get left behind and get warnings for asking questions in class. Assaulted on the school bus and even in class with teachers present.
Awful experience.
On hot days they make them wear blazers. So strict but the teaching is horrendous.

wouldnt wish this school on my worst enemy. Used to be good but that the new headteacher is in charge its gone massively down hill. Teachers physically put there hands and push students for no reason. Its a $h1thole

Where do I begin
WELL poynton high school was the worst 5 YEARS OF MY LIFE
This school has ruined me broke me and I will never ever forgive the people that made my life like hell don’t get me wrong some I mean very little teachers were nice but the rest we’re rude and had no respect for the students which is so wrong…..
This school was the WORST school ever for mental health they would say yes let’s have a chat and you would be either waiting for a year or they would never speak to you because it would of been too late because you would of left school

Mental health is apparently a big thing in that school but it’s sure not they preach and say never feel alone we here to talk but there never there they are hopeless and that is the most terrible thing for school they should be out there making there pupils feel welcome feel happy to come for school feel good about them selfs but no this school leaves you to suffer they are just the worst I can’t believe how bad they mental health system is ABSOLUTELY SHOCKING!!!!!!

So before you think of putting you child think about all the bad reasons and then you wouldn’t even want to put your worst enemy in that school
Let me name a few
- teachers are rude
- mental health is shocking
-the students are rude to eachother and don’t have respect
-chewing gum everywhere on eg.desks (ewww makes me feel sick)
-people act nice but there horrible
-they also don’t do anything if your child is getting bullied

got bullied, teachers did nothing about it even when i came crying to them (told me they would put me in seats far away from bullies in the second year, they didn’t act on that obviously, for the rest of high school). i gave up on talking to any teachers about my problems after that. now i have trauma and probably social anxiety, thanks phs 🤪

certain teachers were really lovely, but they were one offs - just specific teachers that were nice people. there was no actual handling of issues.

i witnessed other kids literally leave this school due to bullying. one kid left in her first year. another left around the third year, and one kid really tried to stay, but he got beaten up and eventually left. i literally saw him lying on the ground whilst a guy kicked him. also i’m pretty sure he was autistic, so that bullying might have had ableist motivations? either way, the teachers were not able to solve these bullying issues, so people chose to move schools. i didn’t want to tell my parents i was getting bullied, so i chose to stay and just suffer :)
