Bad school
This was a bad and terrible school

this school is the pure arse , the “health and well being team” don’t give to shits about you or how your feeling, they’ll send you back down even if your having a full on panic attack!! i told them i was feeling sucidal my response was “go to the doctors then” i have suffered bullying since i started and they do nothing about it, i’ve been hit 2 times since going and all they have is a 1 day exclusion!! the teachers are rude and ignorant and half of them i’m suprised they’ve even been hired. the PE teacher is known for making disgusting and inappropriate comments about there students. the head sits on her arse all day and will occasionally make an appearance in the classes where she chooses to shout for no reason. the teachers argue with eachother infront of the students may i add!! the behaviour system is a joke, if your “naughty” or “troubled” you get sent to something called “gate” which is where you sit in a room with other “naughty” kids and are allowed food when you want and to go on your phones or lap tops all day. the school is falling apart and there is even mould on the walls. none of the girls toilets locks and when asked if anything is being done about the situation we get told “i doubt they’ll fix it”. food is terrible, small portions and dinner lady’s are horribile. male teachers walk into the girls toilets and myself have had the door opened while i’ve been using the toilet. “complaints” don’t get acknowledged. you will get told they will “deal with it” but nothing gets done, you don’t even get reassured. no one answers the phone and no one is EVER on reception. teachers don’t even bother to ask kids why there upset or struggling they shout because there not “paying attention”. overall DONT GO!!!
Headmistress
This school has discriminated my grandson 3 times as of a asthma pump which he takes a preventer before school the headmistress has been informed about this and called my daughter a liar my grandson is 11 more people need to complain about this excuse of a poor run school not all are the same but nothing will get done about this anyway

Really crappy school. Needa ALOT of improvements. Doesn't care about mental health and drains u to the point of wanting to die.

A students point of view
The school is okay but most off the classes are disrupted by students not listening and teachers not being able to control the class. I am a student at porth community school and I do not see myself walking out of porth with any good qualifications as I am not getting the right education that I need because teachers can not control the class but other than that most of the teachers are nice. Another thing I find stupid is if you are late to form by just a few minutes then you will have break time detention which is pathetic like if it I was more than five minutes late to form then the detention would be needed but not if you are only two minutes late to form. I do recommend coming to this school as it can be fun but don't expect a high level of education as the teachers don't know how to control the classes
Don't go to porth school
This school is absolutely crap the teachers are so bad they don't let u do nothing there's only 2 good teachers in this school and are probably going to leave there job because they can't pay the staff.but the school is terrible
This school is ok but can be improved
My problems with this school is that my mainstream classes (yes I am not in mainstream) dont shut the hell up the food tastes like plastic and the head is not even there 99.9% of the year and the strict no hoodies except for p.e rule i mean what's the point of buying a 40-50 pound hoodie if your gonna wear it 4 times a month unless your parents contact saying for you to wear a hoodie but the good things are break and dinner when we can do things with others and make freinds and interact with our friends over all is average but can be improved
Awful school
Terrible school my son gets sent out of class to do his school work as the classrooms are so disruptive. Teachers have no control over the kids(most anyway).so disapointed. Not expecting my son to come away with any qualifications. This super school is laughable it should be shut down.
Average
An average school to say the least. The headteacher is hardly present. However, the teachers are extremely kind and want the best for you, a lot of them are under pressure but still put their efforts into getting us the best grades possible. There is still some problems though, particularly ableism and homophobia. Additionally, the covid-19 rules are a bit hypocritical. Teachers aren't following the one way system rule but we get penalized for it, teachers that don't teach our class can come in but our friends we see a lunch and break can't because of covid. It doesn't make much sense. The school has a lot of setbacks because it isn't funded, resulting in less activities and opportunities. The biggest problem is that a lot of the teachers only stay for a year or two so they don't get to know the class well enough.
The worst school in the RCT
Tried leaving bottom set for an entire year even though all the teachers believed I worked at a higher level, Food is terrible, Teachers dont know what they are doing, Welsh bac and welsh have no teachers, in year 11 at least. Bullying doesn't get sorted, School Grade average of 2019 was an E!!!
Do not attent if possible
bad facilities , terrible head who's barely present and when she is she's too stuck up to do anything , usually bad teachers excluding the world studies and science department , overall a bad experience. high levels of both bullying and homophobia within the school which is not cared about by the staff. the food is of terrible quality which is consistently compared to prison food. this is not a good environment for learning and growth.
