If your child has an addition need, do NOT send them to this school. They will not get the support that they need and if they do get any funding for teaching assistant support, the school will use that funding to fund multiple other children’s support leaving your child with less of the support that they need. The school might get good results but soooo many parents have taken their child out of the school over the past couple of years due to a lack of support with SEN, dissatisfaction with teaching standards (a year 1 teacher in particular) and issues with the arrogant headmistress who will defend her staff even when they are wrong.
The school does not provide adequate support for children with additional needs, largely due to an out of date SENCO who needs to retire. Resources are channeled into efforts such as buying land near Pewley and then parents are asked to donate for the cost of books. Furthermore, Christianity is forced down the children’s throats at every opportunity. Children also find ways to escape the school grounds via holes in fences and inadequate supervision - a few have ended up roaming on the Downs!
