Peacehaven Community School

the only good thing i could say about this school is the odd staff member that have hearts of gold. Sarah Duncan, Dawn Carey, Catherine Howard, Josh Woods, Stephen Ogbourne, Lauren Haywood, underrated Ms Hayhurst and a handful more… the teaching at the school is ridiculously terrible they’re extremely biased to pupils who may have been served with a silver spoon with possible career paths or enchanted brains, other than that… there’s not much good to say. i’ve watched them lie to ofsteds face about the behaviour of their students, they fail to educate, they fail to promote diversity and you can be isolated a days “learning” for wearing the incorrect socks. the school is disgusting. staff on the SLT have little care for the children’s home lives and mental health some even swear, they have history of having despicably racist and disgusting staff they act unaware of. they bias towards staff if their job is vulnerable, for example the disgustingly racist spanish teacher Javier De La Torre who openly said how he hated certain people from certain areas of the world i won’t repeat but they wouldn’t get rid of him simply cos they can’t find spanish teachers…there’s not one healthy thing they serve at break and lunch. toilets are locked no matter your current situation, teacher assault some students, they hire horrific people who can’t do their job properly. they can’t handle their own staff, half of them chat shit to other students, they can’t act like they don’t cos i’ve heard it directly. they shoved me in isolation when ofsted came in, even had the audacity to give me a cheeky wink when they walked in to inspect isolation, just cos they failed me from year 8-10 switching my classes playing around with me for fun so i could be bullied by those who they swore they’d never put me in a class with. they cannot manage bullying for the life of them. they refuse girls and boys to the toilet to the point that girls bleed in their own uniform. imagine the embarrassment. the schools failing terribly and they do nothing for it… police are there constantly cos there pupils are just as bad as the staff, i’ve seen unmarked cars lurking the outside in the morning etc, even had to have a knife barrier morning with sussex police which wasted a whole GCSE english lesson… this school if you could even call it that need to do better. i must say those teachers mentioned made school a great place to be the rest were horrific… it was either you were liked or hated by teachers they all had favorites and they also have ridiculous rules like a teacher can’t buy a student a present for leaving etc or not allowed photos or tiktoks together during break or after/before school, considering them teachers were the only reason many of us didn’t unenroll from the school ages ago. terrible terrible terrible school. i’m scared for its future considering it probably won’t have one just like they told me i wouldn’t pass my gcses nor have a future so i had to seek professional tutoring outside from school as they failed me. failed history as my teacher failed to teach us, turned up late every lesson, went on paternity leave during GCSE season, scheduled meetings on our GCSE lessons, played silly music and stopped us learning, and told us to do all the work ourselves at home and it was our own fault that we were a whole entire topic behind the other classes meaning we weren’t able to properly revisit the previous modules prior to the exam, nearly everyone failed and it was probably one of their worst years for it… but it’s okay cos they just glaze the odd students with an enchanted brain… not to forget to mention they’d never give us at home help. the staff can be so rude and they even told me if i went into policing it wouldn’t be the last time they saw me… shows they’re not oblivious to the horrific mess they made… i could speak on this school forever it will be something i won’t miss. it’s actually sad i hope it finds its way to a good redemption cos it’s one of the worst known schools going recently. always in the news etc.

Rubbish school i was being bullied and me and my mum reported it to the school multiple times and the school did nothing the last time the bot bulling me said something i lost it and pinned him against the wall because i knew the school wouldnt do anything. I was suspended which is fair enough and was then put on a time table from 1.30-3 i had to stay in one unit and was not allowed to any lessons while the boy got 3 lessons in isolation for calling me a "fat c*nt" i was then told that due to this i was no longer allowed to sit my exams. This school has made me beyond miserable and has led me to try and end my life multiple times. This school doesnt respect you or your mental health. Definitely do not recomend.

Horrible school. Can't communicate to other teacher, students and parents. Sexualizing students. Female and male can't hold hands but the same sex can hug and kiss. Ive even witnessed same sex kissing and it being fine. Even standing close to your boyfriend/girlfriend is considered PDA. Homework is set online and most of the time you can't even write enough as it doesn't fit and they don't tell you about the homework so you miss out. Walking into school and being in school without a blazer results in a behavior point even if you've lost it and spoken to head of year about it which is just pathetic. Students are nasty and bully for no reason and the school can't handle a class properly. Toilets are always locked because of vandalism which means it hard to access toilets for students with medical problems. They don't teach about sexual health and careers after school but worry about uniform too much. They teach about mental health but don't even consider it when speaking to students as many teachers shout and saying your opinion is considered rude. Absolutely would NOT recommend going here!!!

Honestly there's not alot to be said about this school, bullying and LGBTQ diversity is so neglected by the school, they don't care about anyone except the SLT. Had my parents complain many times and its just not worth it, even they block teachers at the sight of it. The mess is everywhere I feel bad for those cleaning it, students bullying constantly and nothing being done. Rules are stupid occasionally, they lock the toilets too, even if you're on your period-

Would not recommend this school. Heads of year 7 right now don’t sort out your problems unless you keep going to them and reminding them. And if they do sort it out it will be days later after you tell them.

Some nice teachers. However, overall the school doesn’t encourage progress in the slightest. School runs with SLT at the heart of it, not students. Multiple occasions to praise teachers and not students. Majority of SLT are there solely for the salary. No democracy at all. Rules are made despite not making sense. Money is wasted in every possible situation. Swale Academies Trust are running that school into the ground. Desperately needs an OFSTED inspection.
