Park Junior School

Hello, I was a former student at this school and I would like to say that this school was absolutely horrible. All of my teachers throughout the years always knew that I had trouble with communication skills but they always pressured me to speak in front of the class or they always single me out, I still have trouble with communication today because of them. They were also horrible to the children, They dealt with bullying by making them sit in at break/lunch or just forced them to play with their bullies, some of the teachers were extremely sexist as well, Some of my previous teachers always forced us to stay in during break/lunch or even after school if we didn’t finish our work but they never even gave us much help. They always compared a students work with another’s just to make them feel bad as well. The people doing office jobs always made the year 6 prefects do their work while they just left school or something, I think it’s dangerous to make 10-11 year old kids do more mature work that they might not understand.

I'm a former student at this school and I can say that bullying is not dealt with appropriately here. I was bullied by the same people and instead of dealing with the bullies, they made me stay inside during break and lunch. I've witnessed a teacher push over one of my primary friends and the previous head teacher had an obvious thing going on with a year 6 teacher which is inappropriate for 10 year olds to see. The first aid / reception staff was very bad. They'd never be doing any actual work and would just be sat about and talking and they'd make the prefects do first aid and answer phone calls which is completely unsafe on all parts because the prefect doing the first aid is not qualified and could mess something up and it's unsafe for them to be answering calls that are meant to be for the receptionists. I got told off one day for pushing someone out of the way because he was harrasing me and he got let off. The toilets have always been filled with mould and people like me who suffered with asthma had to train themselves to not go to the toilet for a whole 6 hours. All of this got missed out by OFSTED when they visited somehow. This school hasn't changed much since I left. Thank you for reading :)

former pupil here! I was bullied a lot here by the same person, and all bullying in general was not dealt properly, obviously resulting in further bullying. There has been horrible incidents involving bullying towards children with disabilities since I left years ago, so clearly not much has changed. Even certain teachers/teaching assistants attitudes were unprofessional- physically pushing students out the way, gossiping about inappropriate things in front of students and having 10-11 year old prefects running the office and doing first aid whilst the receptionists have their lunch is totally unacceptable, none of which was ever picked up upon in Ofsted reports. As an ex-prefect, having that much pressure put on me and others to answer all phonecalls and deal with inured pupils is again unacceptable. In addition, the previous headteacher had an obvious fling with one of my teachers at the time- 100% inappropriate for that to be clearly displayed in front of prying eyes of young students.
