Staff are abusive towards kids grabbing them and been given an hours detention for just being 1 minute late to school or a lesson is a joke
Poorly ran school
Poorly managed school. Does not deal with bullying unless its your child standing up for themselves then the victim is dealt with promptly, and consequences given. meanwhile the actual bully gets away with it. Spend more time in reflection than lessons. And complete little to no work. Whilst in reflection targeted child recieves further bullying. Again not dealt with. Consequences and detentions for the slightest things. Certain staff scream at students rather than speaking with them and finding out the cause of the problem. Communication is so bad, don't always let you know your child's in a detention. First point of call can never be reached. Phones rarely answered and emails not responded to. If your child is off because of issues raised, school don't care. Just left to own devices until an attendance officer becomes involved, or you deal with it yourself. If your child suffers with mental health they have no chance in this school. Support does not exist and infact the school massively contributes to it.

I wouldnt recommend this school - 2/5
The teachers expect the children to have tidied away their books in only 30 seconds! That isnt long enough. Also if you do the slightest thing wrong you either end up on the consequences board or you're getting screamed at, given a detention or sometimes people even get excluded for answering back or not following intructions. I think the school is very strict. I wouldnt recommend this school.

Outwood likes to glide social media platforms to trick parents into thinking they are doing good for children. They only reward them to show off said rewards on social media. Behind closed doors they discipline children at a military level, show no respect towards students or fellow staff and are ran by businessmen who care more about funding than they do well-being. The level of education is atrocious, racism and bullying isn’t handled at all. Sexual assault claims were not taken seriously by staff during my time there, and often victims were left punished instead of the offenders. I cannot put into words how abhorrently run this place is, I beg you do not send your children to such an institution. You are setting them up for a lifetime of failure and mental health issues.
