if I could give this shithole a 0 I would. don't ever send ur kids here, staff members are very mentally and verbally abusive towards the kids - speaking from experience. They're not strict per say but instead are just controlling and not in a way a school should be controlled. just last year in the 40°c heatwave we weren't allowed to get drinks of water or take blazers off, we had to do a protest just to be able to take them off. Children are put into isolation for stupid reasons like being a few minutes late for lesson, no school bag, no pencil case, being in corridors, skirts shoes etc. My sister got excluded because she had her eyebrows done for ger birthday, and I myself have been excluded many times simply for talking or my tights not being 40 denier. I've been talked down to and ridiculed by the headteacher there (*** *******) and she has assaulted me in the past by showing me into a wall and leaving me with an injury when I left. Her and her staff have laughed at me for being upset or angry, they took my lunches, classes and breaks from me because my friend spoke to me during an assembly (I had 2 rows of students and 2 staff members who said it wasn't me who spoke) and they sent me to an alternative school and I was only allowed to school for 2 days a week for 1 hour. They also continuously lied to my mum through their teeth and made my home life something I wish nobody goes through and made it very difficult for me. They eventually sent me to a different school where my home life and school life got akot better but by pure badluck I ended up coming back to brumby and was treat like an animal. I've seen so many students go home crying because of this school, so many students not in lessons because of the slt staff, so many students expressing their suicidal ideation because of that school and I have witnessed the abuse they put students through. the class staff aren't all too bad however, but the SLT staff and head staff are absolutely horrendous. do not send your children here.

I’m a parent and have 2 kids that go to this school. They both don’t enjoy it and received detentions for the smallest thing plus sometimes they are told they have missed a detention even though they haven’t been given one. Kids feel like they are treading on eggshells all the time. My youngest is constantly bullied yet school says there isn’t a problem. My boy has been told by teachers they don’t believe him when someone else has done something wrong and they blame it on him so then gets a detention. And trying to get through to reception to speak to someone is a miracle. I wouldn’t advise taking your children to this school. The whole school needs a shake up!!!

Some of the lessons are okay, a lot of them have poor material and can be hard to understand. Most teachers seem bitter or have an agenda except for a few solid teachers who are there to help. The SLT staff are all very accusatory and hand out sanctions like there is no tomorrow, it comes across that they don’t care for the students unless it is convenient for them.

some teachers can be lovely and create a strong bond with them however other teachers make it there goal to pick on certain students constantly making it a hard learning environment for them. they also shoot down any chance you have to show individuality as you get put in isolation for any sort of expression- hair colour, make up, bracelets, shoes, nails, what things you put in your hair and so many more and they seem to care more about what the overall look of the school and students then the education as they will willingly exclude you from lesson and your peers because you have a certain hair colour.

awful teachers, never get control of the kids. give out detentions and isolations like its nothing. if you're wearing the wrong uniform you get an isolation.
