I STRONGLY advise u dont go to this school because ,it is bad for example i went to this school and i got picked on by my pe teacher then i told teacher and they dont even agree what happend
-Teacher can be rude (aggressive and poorly mannered)
-Teachers ignore safeguarding concerns saw this daily in classes someone would say something quite serious like suicide and still would not be reported
-Nasty students
-Dramatic
-Lots of fights (videos online to!)
-FAST doesn't work only 1/2 teachers do it
-FAST is a waste of time...takes time away from focusing on lesson
-Standing before sitting when entering a classroom (another time waster)
-TOO MUCH EQUIPMENT ( BOOK PENCIL CASE PE KIT CHROMEBOOK AND HOMEWORK/REVISON BOOKLETS
-COLD CALLING MAKES STUDENTS FEEL UPSET (ANXIETY AND PEER PRESSURE)
WOULD HIGHLY NOT RECOMMEND
ABOVE ARE ONLY A FEW REASONS..
Well how do I start... Some teachers can be more friendly and approachable then others I feel like some teachers just go there to get paid. Favourites can be a problem a class should be treated as equals. Not all teachers follow the consequence/reward system. Some teachers give consequences and no house points and likewise. There should be harsher cautions or teachers should follow the consequence route with disruptive and rude students. Some students make inappropriate comments during lessons they can be very distracting so also stopping other people / rest of the class to do their work. Teachers shouting is kind of ridiculous. They shouldn't do that because there is the consequence system that they should follow for the irresponsible students. Shouting seems unprofessional and 9 times out of 10 results in an argument with the student meaning a waste of more valuable learning time for the rest of the class. Some teachers seem almost agressive so this can scare students which is crazy. Most Students go school to learn. Other pupils say they are 'forced to go' I believe that students need to take responsibility for their future. And sometimes there is just no class moral or positivity. Students can feel bored and the teacher doesn't feel empowered or want to teach. The school does have very good pe activities at break, lunch and after school which is amazing especially as most schools don't have this, pupils should take advantage of these resources. The schools reward system is a very good idea however there should be more ways tp sign up to the activities i.e through the online school app. These are a few positives and negatives of the school. Overall I would not advise this school for pupils that want to succeed. As it is a difficult place to learn and achieve. Action should be taken...I doubt this will happen. I hope this has gave you an idea of this school. A lot of pupils don't like the school...the majority of the school pupils. Choosing the right secondary school is so important. It's the place where you get your gcse,s your first qualifications and a 'second home' in a way as your their for 5 years over 6 hours a day. I hope this has influenced you to make the right decision for your child.
Basiaclly when I went there which was just under a year ago it was prodominantly white - nothigg by wrong with that but a mix of people would’ve been nice 😅. Anyways thats not why I gave it one star students where racist , Islamaphobic and they smoke a lot O.o it was probably their first time seeing some Muslims not gonna lie because they had nO respect. But then the teachers well obviously most had faviroutes and if you weren’t the faviroute you’d get in trouble for talking when the faviroute students don’t. And if you do go don’t bother with extra work to get better grades the teachers don’t even mark it 🙄.
