DONT SEND YOUR CHILDER TO OLDBURY ACADEMY

this school will give the students no respect and it is a from of neglect as they don't the the purples go to the loo at lesson or back\lunch some teachers will get in your face and shout at u even after telling them to back away and also you will have some amazing staff but the most of them we not be the most pleasant to meet so over all i would not send my child to this school so hopefully no other children will have to face this

Bullying

Terrible bullying policy

The education is fairly good but their attitude towards bullying is pathetic. My son has been bullied since he started here and nothing has been done about it
In fact recently somebody attacked him and they blamed him. I wish I could take this further.
As far as bullying is concerned this has to be one of the worst schools in English.
If your child is being bullied here I suggest contact the police as I'm thinking of doing.

oldbury academy is a terrible school

while i’ve still achieved good results from this school, that doesn’t mean i’ve had a good time here at all. the teaching quality here is good overall and will get you good results besides the science department, science historically has the worst results here and for good reason, the teachers barely even know how to teach. as for everything else, it’s a shambles. most of the higher up teachers are massively homophobic and only act like they care about equality for the reputation of the school but when you have an actual issue with students in the school being homophobic towards you or someone else they simply say that and i quote ‘it’s their opinion and they’re entitled to that’ and do nothing about it. the head of one of the yr groups is openly sexist, and none of the teachers bother to do anything when racist and homophobic comments are being flung around the class, they simply don’t care. bullying is dealt with horrifically at this school, many people have been bullied by this same group of people for yrs and the most they ever get when a kid comes crying to a teacher about it is a detention, this is why the school has fights cus the teachers never deal with it so the kids deal with it themselves instead. teachers don’t care about your mental health. they never do anything about it if you have a problem and they also inforce some incredibly stupid rules about uniform and piercings and focus more on that in your last yr of school than actually getting you to do well. please, if there’s anything i could recommend it’s to never send your kid here they’ll either get involved with the wrong group of people or be bullied until depression because there’s nothing the teachers will do about it.
