my experience here rn is very... ...mixed.

on the one hand education is pretty good

on the other hand the way they deal with situations is ass

as someone who went to primary school and hated it there, got bullied etc, i wasn't really expecting much better here.

i was right to expect that.

ppl push in at lunch queues all the time because they don't put in enough effort to prevent it, and really almost all their systems screw normal ppl over in some way tbh

some good parts of the school are probably the food being decent and the trips, but trips are meh if people on there hate you, they make minimal effort to deal with bullying on trips too

probably the worst part of the school is how they deal with bullying as a whole

they have cameras all over the place, but they barely use them at all and simply leave situations down to majority, so if a group of ppl went against you and harassed you?

yeah you're done, they're getting barely any punishment and chances are YOU'LL end up getting a similar punishment for it too

teachers are alright but most are either way too assertive or a pushover and it really annoys me

punishments tend to be too lenient or too harsh, they're moderately strict on lateness, needlessly harsh on pe kits, not harsh enough on bullies

saw someone remark they're biased towards girls and uh

kinda?

they'll believe anything that comes out of their mouths if it's absurd enough (rumours were made about me that everyone believed, they reported me for those untrue rumours and i got a detention before i even made my point) but their punishments are about the same, if not SLIGHTLY better for them.

as someone who gets treated like crap there all the time by everyone, only excluding a small handful of ppl i really don't feel safe here

was split on giving this place 2 or 3 stars but i'm leaning more towards 2 because of how much it stresses me out here

if your child got bullied in primary school please don't take em here, because it WILL happen again.

As a former student I feel like this school does not handle situation seriously especially sexual harassment. I was sexually harassed since year 9 and when I spoke out they barely did anything, they barely even got even a detention or when I told them previous account's of this happening by the same boys they just told me that it was too late and I should have spoke out sooner which is very victim blamey. When I suggest that I wanted them kicked out because it's repeated behaviour the head of year told me that it would damage the school reputation if we did so. they seem to care more about the school reputation then their own students.

They barely care about racism, homophobia and transphobia they allow these jokes to slide by with rarely any punishment. There was a boy who was really loud about how much he hates gay people and would say if he ever saw one he'd jump them saying this right in front of the tutor who did nothing.

They don't know how to handle anything and girls get in way less trouble
