The school is a joke, they do nothing about bullying and ive suffered fir years and when asking for help they make helping you seem like a chore for them. Some teachers are lovely of course but overall do not send your child here. Its living Hell.

I attended this school from years 7 through 12. Believe me when I say, those 5 years were the worst of my life. I was bullied and harrassed by students, called names, threatened and relentlessly picked on for the way I look. I was ignored and belittled by the staff, people who were supposed to be there to help instead using phrases like "Oh, maybe just stay out of their way" or "they're only words". This school only cares about the way it's students look, exam results and ofsted ratings, often preparing their students to lie to ofsted to make themselves look better. They prioritise the colour of a students socks or the tightness of their trousers over the students recieving a good education. The teachers care little about independence and individuality, going so far as to bully one of my sixth form classmates when they had no authority over the way he styled his hair in sixth form, being in non compulsory education meant the uniform rules didn't apply to him. They made school difficult for him until he bent to their will. I did well in my exams, despite self harming and wanting to kill myself whilst there, so realistically I should have a decent job. Except I don't; 6 hours a day, 5 days a week for 5 years with adults making me feel unsafe and invalidating my pain has left me with trauma and mental health issues. I have severe anxiety and problems with authority because of the staff at this school. Their anti bullying policy is a joke, they do not care about the welfare of students, as long as they behave while ofsted is visiting, as long as they wear black socks and tuck in their shirts. The work force has moved along, Norton Hill Academy needs to catch up. They dont respect a students choice of pronouns(refusing to use them), they don't respects a students right to privacy when using the bathroom(removing doors), they don't respect a students right to free speech(on social media), they don't respect a students right to feel safe(enabling bullying and not sanctioning those who do, victim blaming instead).
I went through hell here, my sisters and brother went through hell here. Now my child is also going thorough hell here. I would never have sent him to this school if it had been my choice.
If your a girl you have to wear blazers and a jumper which is stupid and I think you should be allowed jewelry it doesn't distract anyone also my daughter got an after school for being 3 mins late to a lesson which is so stupid very strict for no reason and doesn't do anything about bullying should be shut down
Some of the teachers were nice and that helped with education. The teachers tend to turn away from students getting bullied until something happens like a fight for proof of bullying which is stupid as they should act on it before the worst happens. The clothing rules are taking the p, be prepared to get a detention for wearing white socks.
