As a previous pupil at this poor excuse of a school I can say with confidence that it (and most other institutes of education) are awful at dealing with disabled students. They call themselves a "special school" yet only have a few "quiet rooms" (which are basically just temporary isolation till the child has 'calmed down') and some ear defenders. I'd argue that none of the staff are actually trained to deal with disabled pupils out side of physical disabilities. They clearly confuse infantilization for support and don't get to know our individual struggles out side of "yea they make excuses why they can't do this simple task".
There are some exceptions, of course, but that does not excuse or invalidate any of the points I have brought forth.
Simply do better or close the school entirely because to continue as it is would be an insult to every previous student, like myself, and by extention autistic and otherwise neurodivergent.
To end this with one of my favourite quotes: "Everybody is a genius, but if you judge a fish by its ability to climb a tree, it will live its whole life believing that it is stupid".
its me Morgan green a child from northcott. if i had to choose a school it wouldn't be this one. some teachers are selfish and some didn't listen to what i had to say. some of them like Jo [not the male one hes nice and a good math teacher he listens to what you have to say] assumed i had a difficult time near my birthday because i wasn't able to see my biological parents. when i actually had a hard time near my birthday because of the fact how the staff treat you like your five.
I do not recommend this school for special need kids
Had many problems in the past with this school I feel like the staff need to get their act together! Only a few of the people working there been nice and helpful while the rest of them are all selfish and probably only dose this job because they think the kids there will be easy to handle.
