Terrible and stressful experience for child and parents
Terrible experience. Poor treatment and interventions for kids with SEN difficulties.
Teachers never in the wrong. Blame always directed at the child and then the child is punished for any reactions or told they are making poor decisions.
Learning not encouraged due to the focus being on behaviour policy and enforcing sanctions. Little consideration for the impact this has upon confidence, self esteem and strengths of a child in question. Minimal regard for the voice of the child, child perception and experience. Seems to be very one sided blame culture. Poor attitudes of some staff and an oppressive school culture.
Not a good healthy experience.
it’s a shocking school. they treat you like your nothing. sit there and preach about mental health but when your in literal tears they send you to lesson and expect you to be able to sit there and work. they are never in the wrong in there eyes. all they care about is your education and nothing else. they allow bullying when they claim they don’t. they will sit there and lie to your face. if your thinking of putting your child in that school have 2nd thoughts if you don’t want your child’s mental health to completely drop and will start refusing to go school.
If you're child has any type of disability (mental or physical) then I really wouldn't recommend this school. The teachers talk a really big game about bullying, being inclusive and supporting their students but it's all a load of crap. I had nothing but problems with this school.
