I used to work here. The behaviour is appalling. The students rule the school as the management don’t tackle the issues causing the problems. Bullying is rife amongst staff and students. A very frightening place to be.
This school is absolutely terrible, the bullying and the amount of insults and yelling is quite annoying. There is trash in every inch of the place and the outside area Is even worse. Overall the way the teachers treat us is bad. Yelling at everyone in the classroom even though no one did anything wrong. Would highly recommend not going to this school or sending your child here. Absolutely not worth it.
As somebody who used to attend nhts, it is definitely the worst school I've been to. I was bullied constantly and the school did nothing about it and would never call my parents back after saying they would to sort it out, and they do not care for the students at all, just the money. The teachers learning devices are horrible aswell, all they do is read off sideshows and half the time not have a clue or understand what they're talking about and can't explain it. There's only a handful of good teachers, while the rest are extremely weird with students. Teachers can have a go at you at 8:30am on a monday morning for not having a ruler, a pen, or anything. PE teachers also made us still do PE and would get mad even if we had a signed note from parents, and they'd just say its an excuse. My old PE teacher shouted at me and told the whole class that my 'excuse' wasn't an excuse, when I was suffering from very bad cramps and pains from my period. The bathroom stalls being locked and girls cannot even change when menstruating is also ridiculous, because at break the toilets are always full of people just standing around anyways and then teachers complain how you didn't go at break or lunch. The lunclines are horrible, they go all the way down the corridor just to get food which takes up the majority of your lunch and you have like 10 minutes to eat. I've moved schools and I'm in a much better mental health state and I feel alot safer now. Nhts ruins kids mental health's and blames everything on us. If you're looking for a new school for your kid(s), nhts is not the right school.
The worst school to send your kids to they let bullying happen and the staff are disrespectful and disgusting they have not dealt with any bullying and instead turn the bullied student away u all are disgusting and rude and at the end of the day a child should feel safe to go school not scared and school needs to get a reality check with all the staff as well as the students parents who think they can threaten underaged people and yet the teachers don’t do anything about it but yet if it was any of the staffs child they would be straight on it so what’s the difference between someone else’s kids and a teachers .
The teachers can't handle the students, the students always mess about and never listen but the teachers don't do anything about it. It is like the students are in control instead of the teachers. From my side I got assaulted and I fully blame the teachers. I had told them numerous times what is going on, they do ask the students but if the students deny it they will believe it. They think that once you talk to a student it will get resolved and settled. But no. The teachers are out of the playgrounds but they always come after the fight. I tried reaching out to one staff member but she walked off but knew that a group of girls were going to attack me. Also the teachers there are so rude, they never understand your point and they don't have full control. The headteacher is a big disappointment and lets down his school. I suggest he either sticks around and steps up again or he might be receiving other bad reviews.
As a higher achieving pupil, I've never experienced this personally but teachers and staff tend to be heavily prejudiced against students that regularly misbehave. I'm in year nine and I feel a lot of pressure around choosing my options. They keep trying to drill into me the importance of the English Baccalaureate qualification, but I'm not interested. Also, the bullying is a huge problem. I've been harassed on the way home from school by bullies but the teachers have not done or said anything to them. Multiple groups pick on me and verbally abuse me, and it's been going on for my whole time at the school. I'm scared to come to school sometimes. However, there are a few teachers that keep an equal view and do not tolerate discrimination or bullying, which offers some relief on bad days. I actually like going to school, which is surprising given my previous points, I feel as though I'm learning a lot and being prepared, academically at least, for college and further education.
After being there for 5 years all i can say it is an awful place to be, both mentally and physically. They offer absolutely no mental help and rather blame the person struggling rather than helping dissolve the issue at hand, they do not care about bullying happening - after being bullied there myself they simply turned a blind eye (happened often) the corridors are awful, jam packed with fights breaking out often and people pushing, people literally get injured when passing to lessons. the students that misbehave get treat better than the students who actually behave well. the medical centre is useless, if you’ve got stomach ache you’ll most likely get a plaster and a cup of water. the lunchtime queues are a mess, and the food was awful. Science and maths teachers are both heavily abusive towards students and lack respect. Overall, they don’t care about you or your problems.
