I am amazed and shocked that at a time when people are struggling financially, I hear about the head teacher of Norbury primary school in Harrow, telling her catering and SMSA workers that they earn enough to pay for a lunch. Many of these workers don't earn enough to cover their rent and have to visit food banks. A free or discounted meal has always been provided when working in catering and still is unless you work for Norbury apparently. Clearly the head teacher thinks people are living in the 1960s where £300 - £400 per calendar month (smsa work) gives you a luxury lifestyle. We are in a financial crisis where in real terms, the cost of living has pushed wages down and this is when Louise Browning decides to take away her employees lunch. What kind of person does that? .
