New Swannington Primary School

I couldn’t have made a better choice of school! The family atmosphere is palpable and the staff go to every length to ensure children (and parents) are more than happy. The size of school means that each and every child is known (and loved) by name throughout. The forest school approach let’s children be children. They climb trees, toast crumpets on open fires and simply have a blast! All whilst gaining an excellent education, using THE most up-to-date, first-class, provision available. As a teacher myself, I’m thrilled with my daughter’s growing love of maths and the fresh, and might I say, brilliant approach to spelling is already showing. How many seven year olds choose spelling as their favourite subject? Covid-times simply brought out more talent, with the Facebook page used to reinforce home-school links and foster a joyful, caring community spirit where each and every child is celebrated. To top it all off, the new in-house wrap-around care is simply fabulous with fun every minute! My only complaint - that she simply doesn’t wish to come home! Thank you for going the extra mile ladies. You really do an exemplary job no matter what!

I have two children at New Swannington and both love the school. I can’t praise the teachers and staff enough. We have a lovely school community which was highlighted during lockdown. My kids go in smiling and come out smiling and I couldn’t ask for more than that.

My son has always exceeded in many areas and New Swannington has really embraced this and encouraged him in all areas pushing him to reach his potential. So happy that we found this school and all the members of staff are wonderful. Best primary school I have ever known. Thanks for everything you do. Its great to know that a school actually puts their students first!!

My little boy has just started at the school and he’s really settled well , the teacher and the head teacher have gone above to make sure all the EYFS have settle and worked hard in the morning and at collection of the children because of this Covid 19 . I was a very worried parent at the start but now I know my child is having an amazing time as they are making sure photo have been put up and also a lot of stuff going on Facebook pages which is very reassuring for not only myself but am sure the other parent . The office staff have been amazing and are really approachable nothing ever to big for them and the reassurance of them is also above and beyond. Overall I no that this was the best choice for my son education and I can’t wait to watch him learn and develop there ... so a massive thank you to you all at new swannington.

New Swannington is a lovely primary school, my son has been going there for just over a year and he loves going to school. The teaching and office staff are fab and very approachable. The school is just the right size, small enough so the Head and office staff know all of the children but big enough so they have lots of different children to build friendships with. My sons confidence and learning has grown so much since he started school. The school is very covid secure and I have every confidence that it is a safe and positive environment for my son to learn and develop.

I have had children coming here for about 6 years now, and highly recommend it. The teaching is excellent, and access to staff for informal chats about my children is great. Mrs Johnson in the office is get friendly and informative and never seems to stop working! Lovely school :-)
