Really unprepared in dealing with children's behaviour and staff that are rude and blank you when you greet them causing animosity when you decide to stop greeting them. Rude behaviour and too many staff with family members who attend the school .way too many egos and hate for no apparent reason. Workload is piled on in time meaning your working more for the same amount if pay.
Training needs to be done so certain students of race actually understand they are of race to not use racist language in order to feel they fit into their society.
And staff need to be more professional when greeting other staff or being greeted by others as I feel ignoring another adult / blanking someone you don't really know or haven't taken the time to know is childish toxic and egotistical and is bad behaviour to show kids.
I went for two years there was no activities in the playground and I was constantly bullied, the school did nothing more than a 30 min detention I have left now and the school I go to now know how to properly deal with bullying
I went here for secondary and after moving to a different sixth form, I can say for sure that this school does not have its priorities straight. People would get bullied so much that they took their zero-tolerance anti bullying strategy out. Fights would happen and most of the time no one would be excluded. Threats were made and the perpetrators got a one hour detention. Please tell me what that would do? Racist terms are rife in our school throughout the student body - really uncomfortable. Teachers gave up on picking up/challenging these comments. If you are in any class less than set 1 you cannot learn, the kids in it make it so hard to concentrate, teacher engages with those children and we used to hardly get anything done in class. Teacher labelling and setting and streaming has the worst effects on this school. Those known to be bringing knives and drugs into the school on multiple occasions I had to sit next to in class, they were not kicked out. The playgrounds are not safe places, the head midday playground staff had favourites and targeted certain people, same as the HUB (pupil support workers within the school). Select pupils who were in trouble frequently became favourites and would no longer face adequate punishment/ were allowed to skip them. I could go on and on. The councillor there is literally the worst you could imagine, honestly. Massive sexism in the sports/PE block. Girl’s football team was discontinued for a while because the coach couldn’t be bothered to run it so we had to BEG to bring it back.
