Terrible school with poor pupil behaviour out of control
Terrible experience. My son was bullied relentlessly under the nose of teachers and head of year who created false narratives, blame the victims and excuse bullies. I agree with the recent Ofsted that the school has tried to refute. My son also witnessed gay shaming, drug dealing and physical harassment of girls by badly behaved boys across all years. He left the school last year after 4years and suffers from PTSD moments from his experience.
teachers don’t care about your children and are only here for the money and they don’t even try and help with the mental health and do not care about our children!!!!! do not send any children to this shite hole of a school. The food is absolutely horrible and are not good enough portions to get my child through the day. And the staff are ignorant and vile they don’t try help with work ether. Even sending my child to the same room as another student that wants to hurt them physically. They dont care!!! I’ve even been told there is cameras in the girls toilets and knocking on there door when they are using it how disgusting🤢🤢
My child is thriving both academically and socially.
There are continuous rewards for achievement, and for effort which includes all academic abilities.
The support for young adults is second to none and my child has developed a positive attitude and understanding of the diversity of individuals in life because of the 100% inclusive policy of this school.
I would 100% recommend this school for young adults who want to develop a holistic view of their future!
out of my years of going to this shit school i can officially say im free from that hell hole, like i would've preferred to be home schooled.
Some teachers are nice but when it came to school issues they did nothing in order to provide or console a student with what they needed, I'm dyslexic and asked numerous times for extra time but that was never handed to me as I was apparently 'smart' enough, which I am for someone who is dyslexic but nonetheless I still have dyslexia and need that extra support even if it was an extra 5 minutes.
Teachers also did less than the bare minimum in attempt to a support a student with mental health problems, as someone I knew was always ignored when asked for that support which then caused for them to be more of a disruptive student in school and was suspended way too many times yet teachers would make excuses saying that they should've reached out more, completely unfair system where we were made to look like we weren't the victims of their shit school system.
The school is not fun it is horror it’s like a prison you can’t do anything you want. All of the teachers of mean to do anything fun and they give you detentions for no random reason
I have 2 stand out experiences that upset me even to this day that happened when I was a student here - the first being Mr Langley the maths teacher was laughing with a group of school bullies in the classroom about my hair (I had dyed it pink) he was frowning at me and asking me why I did this and the girls were laughing with him, as a child I didn’t realise how odd this was I just felt complete shame and upset in that moment and this situation triggered bullying outside of the class also. I also would eat my lunch in the girls toilets as there is nowhere for people to go to have lunch alone, often if you were in the toilets the teachers would kick you out as it was ‘out of bounds’ so I would have to walk circuits around the school with my earphones in until the bell rang - nobody asked why I was eating alone, they never checked in on me, even when I raised issues of bullying they never did anything . Mr Smith the PE teacher also made fun of a piercing on my face in front of students, as well as Mrs Nash pointing out I had a piercing on me ear and asking me ‘if I was sure’ about this in front of students which no doubt give them the indication it was ok to point these things out.
Overall, disgusting school - the only teacher I rated was Miss Trow who was stern but very professional and also very empathetic.
I was bullied by multiple teachers at this school. I was told by teachers that I affect other people's mental health negatively. I was stuck with an unqualified teacher for my GCSE English because my teacher went on maternity leave and the school did not care about my education. Multiple complaints were made against a specific teacher and none of the school staff listened which led to 2 classes failing their exams. There are teachers teaching GCSE students which say they are not qualified for their subject, who say they are learning the subject at the same time and who talk more about their personal lives than the subject which leads to students having to teach themselves. Teachers are under so much stress from senior leadership that they are struggling to properly teach the students at the school because they are being made to do so many other jobs and the education of students is suffering due to this. This school used to be great but it has had a major downfall in the past 5 years. Do not recommend this school to anyone and I really feel bad for anyone who goes there in the future.
Terrible, teacher’s don’t care about kids mental health, or education!
Only care about uniform, treat students unfairly who come from different backgrounds etc, unfair punishment, favouritism.
Self labelling
Most teachers come across rude, abrupt, disrespectful and arrogant
Maths and Re worse department, English staff act all loving and caring but are only there for the money!
All together poor, unhygienic, toilet facilities limited for males and girls toilets are poor, toilets seats coming off walls.
Cameras in toilets making girls feel uncomfortable as toilets are suppose to be a private space no matter the situation, teachers walking in toilets nocking on doors when using facilities invading our privacy.
Poor food at a ridiculous price.
All together a shit show, if you want your child to be happy and pass gcse, don’t go to this school! As a parent i’m appalled to know my child goes here!
so bad doesn’t listen to anything about your mental health doesn’t care if you have a fight will still send you into the same class as someone who is phsyically going to hurt you if your thinking of sending your child here don’t it was horrible 🤢🤢and some of the teacher physically touch you and push you like the head teacher mr Doust should be fired!!! don’t listen to what you have to say at all disgusting! Before I hadn’t ate all day they didn’t care i get telling them I was so hungry on my break time was trying to get some food 3 of them full on stood in front of me and wouldn’t let me past and made me sit in a room all day with no work and hungry even tho I reminded them about 40 times that’s how hungry I was
I was a student at that school and being trans was hard on me, I got bullied almost everyday to the point where I didn’t go in for the whole year and I’m now doing homeschooling. School did up to nothing to stop this and I couldn’t go to school because of that.
Awful school I cannot wait for my last year to be up, we received no support with covid and I have had barely any mental health help despite having to go through cahms so many times. It’s an absolute shambles, even people who have a good experience hate being there
Awful school, allow bullying to continue and most teachers don’t care
A few outstanding teachers but the majority are mediocre at best which ruins it for all
amazing school, there is always someone to talk to, teachers push you to try your very best and it's easy to make friends and its a perfectly safe school where there is little to no bullying and nothing illegal which is something everyone is looking for in their school life
