My experience at this school is amazing, I'm in year 7 and this school offers free clubs, learning opportunities and have lots of languages to learn, I'm personally enjoying French the most but there is also Spanish and German and many more in higher years. I just genuinely love it!
Just no
Not a good school. Most teachers walk round the school like they have some sort of problem with the school. A few good teachers but rare to find. Teachers lie to others about stuff students have done even though they never did it. Head of years are useless and would rather shout at you then do anything. A few good pastoral teachers although pastoral is now always shut due to shortage, moan at us for wondering round when that’s all they do. Canteen food is ok gets repetitive and boring after a week of being in the school. #1 rule: do not have the Christmas dinner. Medical lady seems to be one of the only people willing to help in the school and the substitute teachers. Some teachers make your feelings valid whereas others make out were crazy. No support to students just get stuck in a room or pushed away (most the time pushed away). Feels like a prison when we are locked inside the school especially in winter. If we step in the building with a coat we get punished. Teachers hardly communicate to eachother unless it’s bad, get told to do something by one teacher but sanctioned by another for doing it. Had a teacher say to me about who the boss was and I should listen to him not the pastoral lady as he was her boss. If you want support from that school you have to fight for it. Only thing they care about is how the school looks to the public and ofsted aswell as GSCE results. Not to mention some pupils who are behind around GSCE times is told to stay home etc, aswell as any student behind they tend to just forget about even if they try. Teacher who is mostly involved with exams, if your having anxiety about the exam they will punish and shout at you making you feel a failure then proceeds to ask if people want a coffee…

fat no, they don’t care about mental health, bullying or racism from what i’ve seen. You only get help with your mental health if you find the right teachers. Since the corridors were locked the place feels like a prison.

I Have been in this school for 3 years now and it is only getting worse. For a start the canteen food is all raw or overly cooked leaving it inedible and causing alot of the students to spend the day vomiting, the teachers care more about your uniform that anything else and if you have one wrong piece you get a detention. Most good teachers are leaving because the school has gone to absolute shit since the new head, he has locked all of the doors so you have no access to the building whatsoever, and on top of that they have locked all of the toilets so young girls are wondering around the school with blood dripping down their legs. The education system is slowly failing us as we have subs constantly and the teachers we do have are to busy obsessing over Taylor swift to teach us anything. Coats have been banned and the kids are getting suspensions for wearing and or bringing them to school which personally I find RIDICULOUS in this weather. Doors have been locked trapping you inside or outside the school. Imagine what what happen in a fire there is no safe escape with these put in place. I do not recommend this school to anyone
Awful school
They locked all the bathrooms and lock students outside of the school building during break and lunch so they are forced to eat in the rain and cold. They are also unable to go to their lockers during break and lunch due to the school being locked but then get yelled at when they don't have their books or kit for their lessons. Ontop of that food provided by the canteen is always undercooked or out of date and overcharged. According to my daughter they where selling Tesco meal deal sandwiches that where out of date and the school had just crossed out the best by date and wrote their own.

Absolute shithole. Didn’t do anything when my daughter got threatened using ADHD as an excuse not to punish the child.she didn’t learn anything there they just tossed paper infront of them and let them get on with it.

the staff do not care about the students mental health at all when they ask for help they get told of some teachers are kind but majority arent the food however is lush. As a student who suffers with anxiety it took the school nearly 3months to get me the proper help and the help they got isnt good.
Bad school
Would rather jump into a live helicopter motor then step food into this building everyday, teachers are disgraceful and told my friend on her first week ever to roll her skirt down because they could see her fishy flaps. Teachers don't listen to students problem and a few teachers refuse to help their students if they have problems learning. The school is disgraceful and I feel sorry for any new year sevens being sent here. They turn their eyes on blatant racism, homophobia and antisemitism. They would rather focus on fights, vapes and how much students go to the toilet.
MHS review
It's transphobic and homophobic. They don't help any one with mental health issues. Some teachers are just mean and rude for no reason what so ever. Other than that it's not the worst I suppose

They treat people with 'issues' very lightly ,i understand that they need help but when they do something wrong the school just brushes it off. Very dirty and school rules are very outdated. Tried to educate us on piercings/tattoos but instead of educating us they tried to scare us.
