I got punched in the face by someone and they just let him get away with it just cuz they didnt kno his name, there was camera where it happened because im on some high risk assesment and exclusion prevention program they think im mental like them
Poor discipline, bullying victims get in more trouble than the bullies because staff cannot be bothered to fulfil their duty of care. Staff would sometimes join in with harassment of myself and I never felt safe from the students who would follow me and make obscene dehumanising remarks about me. Classes are too large and noisy with often mediocre teaching. Wealthier students are treated preferentially as it's a largely middle-class school that cares more about profit and image than education.
So basically i go to that school and they suspended me wanna know why ill tell you.
So i said to some guy i aint wanna be his friend no more he took it personally and swore at me and they suspend me!
It’s a great school with great people. Staff are great and I’ve never seen bullying. I would recommend. Don’t listen to people who make it sound like a prison- trust me it’s one of the best in the area
im only going into year 8 and the school is already bad. we cant leave the room at lunch to go outside or anything. the only time we get to go outside is when we go to different blocks. also the school expects students to "tolerate" the LGBTQ+ community. when they should tell us to accept them. i brought this up because im part of LGBTQ+ myself. the teachers barely know how to teach and expect us to do good in everything.
I would say most of the teachers at the school try their hardest to make sure every child reaches their full potential and leaves with the best grade possible.I believe the new headmaster (Mr Gibson) has had a massive impact on improving the school and is very good under the current circumstances. However, my concern is the people. Many students feel the need to talk in class, distracting me from concentrating and learning. The class sizes are too big in my opinion ranging from 25-32. The school buildings are a bit shabby (apart from H&F)... but that’s kinda expected for a state school. Some of the pupils are very distracted by people with bad reputations from other schools which has an impact on their behaviour in school... which should not be tolerated. I can’t wait to leave at the end of year11 and move onto better things :)
Its one of the worst skls that ive been to n ive been to many secondary skls n maiden erlegh is probs one of the worst ones the teachers arent understanding at all. Some even dont know how to teach i have learnt very little and had to study tripple of wat other ppl had to. They do not prepare you for tests at all and expect you to do good. We arent even allowed our phones at lunch which is disadvantage for children who find it hard to communicate and socialise moreover it just makes those kids look weird as they are just sitting there awkwardly. Also there have been many bullying incidents that havent been delt with and even more incdents where teachers have abused their power and disrespected pupils e.g fat shaming. We are also not allowed to go outside so we are stuck inside the lunch hall which means we are just stuck indoors for the whole day except for the couple of minutes that we get to go from block to block but thats about it. So i wouldnt recommend this skl for anyone.
