This school is the worst school that my daughter has ever attended. They normalize racial bullying and they treat negative situations as the "norm". The person who is in charge running this school does not care about the student's mental health. There's a constant bias treatment towards my child, and the abuse that she gets from other students remain unsolved and swept under the carpet. I am not sure if this will improve this year, and I hope so, but this school needs a better leader to function in a positive way. My daughter does not feel safe sometimes, within the premises. There was even a physical attack towards my daughter last school year, but I never heard about any update regarding our complaint. The princiapal seems to be very defensive and even shouted at my husband, and instead of talking about the bullying, he was more bothered about the student's attendance. I mean, what kind of principal does that?
Don't settle for less when there's thousands of options !!
Pastoral teachers wont respond to emails unless linked with another teacher most likely as they feel they don't need to.
Homework expectations are ridiculous for the quality and quantity they set. (no break for students)
Teachers can be far from helpful with favoritism throughout classrooms forcing those that need help assistance and guidance into taking after school sessions.
Details about Exam leave for students that may require such is kept from the students such as the withdrawal time period of exams (the point in which attendance no longer funds exams) potentially in an attempt to keep students in a school which doesn't even support them (attendance looks good for schools).
School meals extortionate.
No clubs for older students to be social and interact with peers.
Various study assisting rooms closed as younger students cannot be controlled.
Frequent fights and illegal activities taking place throughout the grounds and much more...
The students around the school down the alleyways around the town of Lutterworth itself, their mannerisms, behavior and publicly displayed intoxicated selves speak for themselves regardless of the young children present going to the neighboring school they still continue to act like they, disgraceful.
- Concerned Parent
School had its moments from year 7 to year 9 but after year 10 they have no regard for behaviour and will overlook all bullying and frankly many cases of sexual assault and Racism that occurs more than frequently at this school, leadership is more concerned about public image then helping kids with their mental health and actually giving them support rather than sweeping it under the carpet and locking them in a classroom at lunch
The good is as with many schools there are some amazing teachers, my children have favourites and enjoyed many classes. However the leadership of the school is diabolical, they care far more about their image than the children they should look be caring for. Issues around poor discipline, mistakes, mental health and bullying are swept under the carpet. If you raise a concern it is simply denied, you are told no one else has raised it even when you now many of the parents who have.
A very supportive school with superb teaching staff. It has its down falls ( outdated classroom, a small number of below par staff, etc), but all in all, a very good school
Excellent school, with great food, teachers, facilities and much more. Teachers are incredibly good and helpful. Always want you to do your best. Have the right values and ethos for everything.
