It's better to consider a state school and spend in tuitions.

I m truly sorry I ever chose this school for my daughter. Systemic bullying, non caring teachers and if God forbid if you are not performing then you are left in the corner to carry on..they ll do the whole facade of meetings and feedback but nothing to help the child. Wish I could go back in time n change my decision.

Dont,just don't.

I’d suggest looking at other schools first before you decide this one for definite, it’s easy to get into and the teachers and academics were okay. However, the school itself has a horrible environment, bullying is unfortunately a common experience, homophobia the most common of which. Most of the girls there I’m sure in another environment could be nice but were generally unaccepting and formed cliques which had daily drama. If you’ve ever had any problems with bullying or mental health issues I’d urge you to apply for a different school, There have also been a significant amount of racist and sexist incidents, from teachers. One of the teachers used the most vulgar language and she has never been reprimanded seriously and the whole thing was just brushed off and she continues to make inappropriate jokes. The girls tend to gang up on a person a bully them and the issues are hardly ever resolved properly. The amount of racial slurs said is insane and not to mention its a school filled with tories so if you aren't interested in going to school full of tories look elsewhere, and its also incredibly white-dominanated and the girls tend to be extremely racist, which i dont know if it was out of them being uneducated or sheer lack of basic human decency. So to summarise who should not attend this school: anyone who has been bullied(you will most definitely be bullied again), anyone struggling with mental health(your peers will worsen it),poc(students are incredibly racist),queer people(the school staff tend to be very welcoming and accepting however the students are judge and rude about it and also a significant amount of queer white students say and do things that are borderline racist and also have bullied and picked on quite a few students, also don't join if you want to go to a religiously diverse schools because I've never come across a single Jewish student, only met 3 Muslim students, hindus are uncommon but its definitely christian/atheist and a white dominated school.

Brilliant school

Can honestly say that I love this school. I feel it has changed for the better since I started in Y7-so many caring staff who actually listen and give their time to ensure we all feel supported. The academic side of things is great, but it's more about the caring atmosphere that makes it for me. Whenever I feel I have needed help and support, it's been there for me. I have friends in other schools and it doesn't sound anywhere near as supportive. Mental health and well-being is a top priority at this school and I feel I am very lucky to be a part of the community.

Good Academics, Unfriendly Environment

I’d suggest looking at other schools first before you decide this one for definite, it’s fairly easy to get into and the teachers and academics were mostly okay. However, the school itself has a horrible environment, bullying is unfortunately a common experience, homophobia the most common of which. Most of the girls there I’m sure in another environment could be nice but were generally unaccepting and formed cliques which had near daily drama. If you’ve ever had any problems with bullying or mental health issues I’d suggest a different school, one equipped to properly deal with that. There have also been a significant amount of racist and sexist incidents, including full on harassment, sometimes verging on assault. Many of my classmates had severe mental health issues, including anxiety and suicidal thoughts, which can be difficult to cope with. It’s also a particularly conservative environment, if that’s something you want to consider in deciding a school as it’s okay for some but others find it discouraging.

Secondary School Education

Read before making rash decisions

I have been a part of the Loughborough Schools Foundation for almost 10 years now and am still in school. I am in LHS at current and have to say I am shocked and appalled of how quickly the standard of the school has dropped. Our grade averages are quite frankly appalling. Considering we are a private school I think the standard of teaching, handling of bullying, racism (often inside LHS) etc and overall student experience is appalling. Issues raised by students in school are rarely properly addressed. For instance, one of our teachers used inappropriate language which distressed most of our class, however they were not correctly reprimanded nor the situation addressed with the seriousness it deserved. This has not been helped by the recent appointment of an almost all-new Senior Leadership Team, including Headmistress, Deputy Head Academic, Deputy Head and Pastoral Head- They fail to hire any completely brilliant or competent staff and lack enthusiasm and competence themselves. Another point to consider is the pension scheme the staff have been enrolled on for many years has been removed during online-learning due to Covid-19, and replaced with a significantly inferior one. As a result of this, staff have begun to leave on mass and striking, disrupting my education, has occurred. The only completely positive thing I can say about LHS is there is a strong sense of community between us girls which is something that is not taught nor the cause of our current headmistress. I short, I would not apply here straight away and would advise you to look at other schools, which is something I feel I should have done, before sitting the LHS entrance exam.- this exam has also been made easier and decreased the school’s exam standard.

Honestly good

Tbh my personal experience was great! The teachers were amazing and the girls in my year were really nice. Drawbacks, they didn’t handle bullying very well and the amount of tories made me nauseous
