Horrific, the students there behave disgustingly towards each other and in general, the teachers act as if they couldn’t care less about student’s grades, and petty small rules are prioritised over students and their education. Their dedication to mental health and equality is a complete façade also. I achieved my straight A’s through my own work, not much thanks to anyone.
I feel unsafe every day at this school. nothing is done about bullying, threats etc. students openly and honestly talk about drug use and staff couldn't care less. staff themselves are mistreated. building is falling apart and quite frankly a hazard. majority of toilets are kept locked, including the disabled toilet. SEN resources are practically non existent. no real adaptions avaliable for mentally ill students. when people slag off their schools, normally they say "Mr x is a nonce" or "______ is a shithole" but longfield is geniunely a place that deserves to be slagged off to high hell
in my opinion, the school doesn’t care mentally. it only cares about the amount of work being done. they are moving my lunch to 1:30pm and taking break food off except free porridge. someone threw up in the exam hall and it looked like porridge, i find that vile. the temporary headteacher is ruining it. she is not allowing girls to feel confident in light makeup etc. the majority of teachers are quite nice though which is why i put a star. i think James on reception deserves a pay raise as he’s doing well in there. i find this school horrible. the duty managers treat us like we’re slaves. a duty manager promised my dad and me they were going to get me mental help there back in october 2021, they never did. i was at my worst point in life too. generally i wouldn’t send any kid to that place. you witness year 7s necking off, kids vaping in the toilets, staff laughing at you crying and teachers bugging you to get work done. imagine: your tired due to studying all night and you can’t stop falling asleep in class, the teacher would go grab duty manager and put you in isolation without asking if anything is happening. lack of communication skills there. i don’t feel like this school is a happy place to be. I’ve been getting bullied since year 7 and no one has done a thing about it except make up that it’s playground banter. they do not care about anything but their reputation. they warned everyone about osted coming in to check the school and basically said we needed to be perfect there only for a good review. i’m sure that’s not right. i really hate that school. i don’t feel safe enough to stay but it’s too late to move now. the school is bad by the way they treat us. we are forced to starve basically for 5 hours. it’s not fair. pupils need to agree on stuff they are doing. i want this school to change back to normal but it’s not going to. this school, i will never ever force anyone to go there.
Good school and has improved over the years the new ******************** takes none of it and just want the kids to get the best out of the school. The teachers are helpful and help you in ways in and out of school. You can find help in all things: wellbeing, subjects etc..
Absolutely horrific with children with anxiety and autism. Not supportive at all, the bullying is ridiculous and nothing is done about it, a teacher pinned me against the wall while I was having a panic attack and they just don't care about anyone there. I was having atleast 2 panic attacks every day the times I was there. Normally 3-5.
I would say the school is good and during the pandemic the staff were supportive. The school and staff aren't very supportive too personal reasons or help the students and that is a major downfall for them.
