if i could give zero stars i would. i can barely handle handle being at liskeard. it's a horrible place and it makes me dread being alive. ive only spent two years at the school and they've been the two most overwhelming years of my life. the food makes me want to starve myself, a large portion of the teachers make me feel drained or uncomfortable, the staff are complete liars and do not know how to handle issues, the conditions of places like the hall and the toilets are often disgusting and discourage me from feeling comfortable or safe, i feel the funds for the school are heavily wasted the majority of times and overall it is a horrible place to be.
Make sure any correspondence you get is in writing as they tell you things and lie about it. They don't deal with bullying and instead punish the victims. Appaling school.
Terrible college wouldn’t recommend putting your teenage girl there, lack of communication there is unbelievable. The bullying being dealt with is absolutely disgusting. Adults there let you get away with anything including drugs, bad behaviour, terrorising other teenagers, homophobic, Bullying.
Awful place all together do not care about your child in general.
most of the teachers are alright, however a few come off as "creepy" and make people uncomfortable. it's very grade-centered and doesn't seem to be designed around actual students at all. the way they deal with bullying is appalling, especially with issues such as homophobia, transphobia, racism etc. being ignored and swept under the rug. whilst the school would have you believe they care about the mental wellbeing of students, it's very much a front as in practice, nothing gets done. only a handful of teachers seem to care about issues like bullying or the extreme stress students are put under, which is good, but not enough really. the rest seem to share the attitude of ignoring it until it goes away. it's one of the only secondary schools in the area and I think that's the only reason it has any number of students, to be honest. I wouldn't recommend at all.
its a good school and most the teachers are nice, however they’re not so great at dealing with serious situations like bullying, homophobia, transphobia etc. there are a couple teachers whom make me extremely uncomfortable in the way they talk to, help and even look at students. i personally feel the school focuses too much on uniform and test scores than they do the students mental and physical health. also, the school nurse is way too rude and trys to pry into peoples personal lives a bit too much. furthermore, the food isnt great and theres been multiple occasions where hairs, nails, plastic, metal and even maggots were found in it, and ive had meals that were raw and moldy. other than this, its okay and most subjects are cool..
