Steer clear of LCHS, I'm at the end of my time there and it's a hell hole. Teachers have called me unteachable, they have terrible safe guarding. They don't do anything about bullying. If you care about your childs mental state do them a favour and do not choose this school
this is homophobic and it has low staff so in ever class u getting a supply who barely teaches u and they will disrespect ur religion and they make no sense they will not listen to ur they hit there pupils then at like they was in the wrong and they wont respect u if u change ur name or anything like that and some student have tried to kill themselves i would not recommend
restrict students of the basic human need to use the bathroom
usually i thought it was a decent school because the teachers are nice and most of the staff and easy going and try to make the year less stressful for the higher years however they have now started to lock the bathroom doors for during lessons and that includes if you just had an mock exam. For girls specifically i find it really degrading that we have to leak through our pads due to not being let out to the toilet not to mention that the lines for the toilet use almost all of my break because everyone had to use it obviously
I've only had good experiences at this school, the staff are amazing and extremely helpful. The school tries to be as accessible as possible which can be difficult at times as it's a larger school with limited resources. But they do everything they can to help their students. The sixth-form team are incredible are always offering support and guidance to those that need it.
Was an ok experience, felt neglected at times and felt like I couldn’t talk about my issues. The teachers had the energy of just not wanting to be there and it felt very gloomy at times
As a school its average theres no real problems or great things about the school. Lchs was a language school but due to a lack of funding the lessons are lack luster and less of a variety as previously. Some upper management makes crazy decisions is terms of where students time is use, Relgious studies is a much needed lesson but the time kn those have been minimises from two essons to one for tutorials on revision. Ridiculus. In terms of bullying they struggle to tackle it but when it gets so severe to where the bully tells you to kill yourself in class they then hit down hard by expulsion. Many classroons are in dire need of repair. If schools were goven more money and less cut down on spending this school has the making of a good school.
The staff are very nice if you give them the respect they deserve, the resources are a bit limited in my opinion, you can talk to the teachers about anything anytime and the school is quite easy to navigate.
